Well he's a lolcow simply because he's an extremely unlikeable person who seems to go out of his way to be hated and acts like a total creep on occasion (like obsessing over two lesbian cartoon teenagers and his inflation fetish).
As for his art, well his characters are ugly, his coloring is weird, his writing is bland, and to be honest his bear character creeps me the fuck out.

At least for me it's not that he's a terrible artist it's that he doesn't care about his art, he started off in art school making better art than he does now yet claims to be a professional artist and even made a site telling other people how to be better cartoonists.
Also I don't think liking lesbians or even (legal) teens is a big deal, it's just instead of keeping his sexual preferences/fetishes private he tries to take the moral high ground because he likes the lesbians/bisexual characters in Korra and he might as well be posting something like:

If his failings were only in his art, he'd just be another face in the crowd at dA, hardly worth his own ED article. Lemme list the reasons why we mock him so:
-Consistently deflects criticism
-Acts like a punkass to his followers
-Shat upon anime and blamed it for his being terrible at art, when it was actually because he...
-Blew away money just to sleep through art school
-Was once a fetish artist who specialized in inflation porn (ironically, his art back then was better than today)
-Turned his webcomic from going on about how hard it is to be a lame comic artist to a soapbox for his social justice dipshittery

And what exactly were you hoping to do by shamelessly plugging yourself? Get the approval of the Dobbles forum? You're clearly proud of your art, you've got it as your icon.
I'm dumbfounded you think he's a good artist when he seems to use the cheapest possible shortcuts as far as things like shading and detail go.

idk he's no longer working for brent black, and it's probably safe to assume he accepts deviantart points as currency. i guess he gets some money now and then but i doubt it's much. i would assume less than $500 yearly. far less.
