i dont understand why this guy is trying to be an artist.
studying art, myself, i've realized two of the most absolute important things about being an artist is: being able to accept criticism and learn from them; and being able to share this art with others.
the way he talks, it sounds like he doesn't even want people to even look at his art. dude needs to get a different job, he does not have the chops to be a professional artist.

Well to be fair he actually was pretty skilled at drawing at one point. But in all honesty it just seems like he wanted to be an artist just for the sake of being able to say he was an artist. He seems more into playing up his title than actually doing works of art, and judging by the way he talks about his experiences growing up he mostly got into art as a way to get praise and to feel special. But due to his shitty outlook on literally everything and his massive ego he's quickly losing fans and since he doesn't have a massive crowd of fans to make him feel like a celebrity he doesn't feel like there's any point to putting out any work. So he's not really an artist, he's just some douchebag who can occasionally draw a nice picture.

It's a shame since I'm sure they are plenty of artists who'd love the size of fan base Preston has.

It wouldn't even take much to turn around his fortunes, all he'd have to do is say something like "After a lot of thinking I realize I've been acting unreasonable towards my fans and vow to work to improve both my art and myself" and then be nice to his commenters, schedule regular updates (Even if it's once a week) and learn to keep his professional and private life separate.
 
With Dobson being full of rage and SJW-ness, I always wonder: how is his marriage doing?

Since obviously I'm not going to get an answer out of him, I've come to four conclusions:

1) Wife wears the pants in the relationship, she's the real SJW behind him and pulling all the strings
2) Marriage on the rocks--distant, close to divorce
3) Divorced
4) :ruse: all along, never married (I find this the least likely, but still an option)

Sorry for breaking up the main frame of the conversation, but does anyone know more?

I'd say he never married and his parents dumped him out of the house after he 'failed' collage (and probably will disown him if they see how pathetic his life is nowadays). But I doubt that information's ever become public. Nor do I think it ever will.

Whaaat, Dobbs is married?

I find that pretty crazy, not because I'm :alog:ing but because he never mentions her, most couples like to do things together but I don't recall seeing a post about her or him talking about them doing anything together, assumedly she doesn't have anything to do with his comics or cons either?

Does he have this hidden self restraint which allows him to never talk about his wife? Is Dobbs really that considerate of others? Amazing!

Yes. Very much so. I prefered his strawman, unrealistic persona than that godawful, patronising bear. Both are equally annoying but there's a smugness to that bear that makes me want to punch it in the face.
