Tom has seemingly started to identify as a troll, to the dismay of his fans.

So your goal is to intentionally piss people off?
Any particular reason for it?

You, that states in his journals that he hates 4chan because of their lack of morals and because they piss people off for "the lulz"?
Doesn't that make this the epitome of hypocrisy?
I can't quite get quite get the "why", though.
I can imagine your attitude towards the haters, but if you would've taken the effort to read through the comments you'd not only see haters, but also see a large part of disappointed (former) fans. As a comic maker whose comics used to focus around games a lot, you would've known such a bold statement would hurt a lot of your loyal fans as well. People that looked up to you. Doesn't that bother you at all? Or are you just that desperate for pageviews?

Wait, woah woah woah woah...Let's rewind that for a minute and I'm going to quote you on this:
"Cuz it's funny seeing people getting worked up over nothing."
Now, I could get a legion of people correcting me on this (and I'd welcome every one of them IF I am wrong), but is this not the definition of a "Troll"? I'm not talking cyber bully who hurdles death-threats or makes unofficial wikis devoted towards making quirks look bad. I'm talking about mischievous pranksters that are the true "trolls" of the web. From my understanding, that's exactly what a "troll" does: gets people angry for no intention other than "for the lulz."
And I disagree with the notion that a "strawman" argument which has resulted in the backfire consequence of being branded a hypocrite should be considered "getting worked up over nothing."
And I feel confident my research is correct, as I've gone to THE Wikipedia, the official worldwide library: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Troll_%2…
So, my good bear, as a loyal fan of yours, I am compelled to ask: have you openly admitted to becoming a troll?!![]()

You know, I could've respected that attitude if you took the consequences of it as a grown man it didn't start whining about how much hatred you received or how people "missed" your clue on twitter or your next comic. But seeing how you handle this, makes you no more than a coward. The equivalent of a man that goes to a bar and picks a fight with a guy that's 2 feet taller than he is, only to go cry when that guy actually punches him in the face.
Before you address me as a hater; I am not. I'm pretty much as neutral as you can get.
Some of your earlier comics did make me chuckle and I kinda did have sympathy for you, considering a lot of the shit you get is pretty harsh and unreasonable. This one, though... you pulled this onto yourself completely.
...and then the Tin-plated Tit shows up for no reason...
