Dobson confirmed for trying to stay relevant even though he truly has no idea what the fuck is going on.
Oh gee, thanks for using one of my favorite games in your unfunny comics Dobson :(.

And I honestly can't fathom how he doesn't seem to understand that people aren't mad at him for drawing her giggling and happy, they're mad because he was calling out gamer gate for using a female avatar (wasn't even their avatar btw) to try to make them seem less sexist, while he was portraying her as an air headed bimbo. And the whole using girl characters to seem less sexist is something feminist bear does ALL THE TIME.

You know what I just noticed? Other than most of Dobson's comics having everyone suffer from terminal Smarm Brow, I mean.

His expressions are essentially copypasted from another, much better comic - Penny Arcade. The "confused' face Pedobear Dobson makes in panel 1 of his second "I have no idea what I'm talking about, so I'll do it as hard as I can" comic is one I've seen dozens of times, pretty much exactly like that, from Tycho Brahe. So after I picked up on this revelation, I started looking throughout various Dobson strips, which I really wish I didn't have to do, but whatever.

The thing I noticed is that Pedobear Dobson's emotes pretty much all are almost shot-for-shot copies of Tycho's. Now, I can't quite say if this is simply lazy design or something more implicit, but I found at least 8 cases of the Dobson Bear using the exact same style and configuration of a facial expression as one of Tycho's in the span of a fucking hour. I have to wonder if Dobson based his Bearsona's emoting style pretty much entirely on Tycho, now.

It's either rote laziness (copying the style because it's easy to do), an open ripoff, or one hell of a coincidence.

I wouldn't put it past him if he just gave up and started tracing over Penny Arcade comics.

Well it's not like he's never just blatantly ripped assets off from someone else to avoid actual effort *coughbigbencough*

I agree with you in principle, but I think it's a little different when you're jacking off to it.
Given I'm into some pretty messed up things myself, I probably shouldn't seriously slam his fetishes.
Now his shitty attitude on the other hand:

Since I'm trying to improve myself, lemme know if I actually came up with a joke at all here. :P And excuse the messiness... again.

I like that you managed to combine Tom's inflation fetish with a joke about hot air.

The thing is, Tom complains a lot about the sexualization of women in media. He wants to say that women are more than their bodies, yet he drew a comic that focuses entirely on women's bodies and their gory destruction. That's a bit hypocritical.

I try not to complain about the sexualization of women in gaming because one of my favorite male characters is hot as fuck. I understand why men are attracted to the same in women. To me it's more about how the character is treated by the writers than how she dresses. Tom never talks about how women are treated, he only focuses on how they dress and look. It's almost like the only reason he objects to it is because he can't contain his raging erection.

EDIT: Just for the sake of clarity and to show one more way Dobson is a fucking idiot, I like playing as hot female characters, not because I'm attracted to them but because I get to feel sexy playing as them. It's the same reason why even non-sexualized male characters tend to be attractive and physically fit. It's just wish fulfillment. It's fun!

Última edición:
If Luigi tried to use his vaccuum on Dobson, he would be surprised when it starts to inflate from all the hot air inside him.

That's my joke you used, but all's fine because I approve of comics made of things I say.

Wish fulfillment is a crime in the new world order.

Syndrome got fucked over by the only person he ever respected and has a very clear reason for why he's that evil. Fucking Dobson.
And then his evil plan revolved around creating a monstrosity that only he could destroy, and he would defeat it in a public setting in order to make himself look like a hero. The development process involved taking a lot of lives by throwing hero after hero at previous versions of the...what was it, the Omnidroid?...until every kink was ironed out except for his control over it.

WHAT THE FUCK DOES THIS EVEN MEAN.
WHAT DID HE MEAN?!

But yeah, I think what he might be trying to say is that "gamers" are doing this because they couldn't get their way, because they were shoved aside and now they're using their power for evil and trying to deceive people into thinking they're the good guys? Something like that, I dunno.

Shoved aside by what? I know I don't speak for all gamers, but I don't remember being shoved aside or marginalized or whatever lately. I still play what I do, and the communities I might be part of pretty much have never really changed, only grown bigger or smaller as the games' popularities waxed and waned.

And for the Syndrome comparison to even work, we'd have to have made...I dunno who or what, but made something that is exacerbating whatever this is. I mean consciously, not unconsciously like things to do with status quo and unfortunate implications within them or things like that; we'd have to have made our own monster, just for the sole reason of bringing it back down to be hailed as heroes somehow.

Shoved aside by what?

There were a lot of articles about "gamers" as an identity dying, which is what a lot of the objection was about early on. Articles with titles like "Gamers are Dead" and all that. It's pretty fascinating, actually, but I'm not going to go into detail about it here.

I won't pry, but I'll put forth that it sounds like clickbaiting. If you were to ask me, as a knee-jerk reaction I'd say it's just restructuring. Demographics change, but gamers will probably always remain people who play more games more often than other people.
