Dobson is unable to compartmentalize, a critique towards a piece of work does not equate to an attack to the person who made it. Compassion is reserved to living beings not inanimate objects. This is why Dobson never had and never will have the capacity to make it big in any professional field where though-as-nails high standards require though-as-nails thick skin to take blunt, harsh, honest criticism to learn from it and grow as a professional.
Meanwhile Dobson at the first sing of rejection of his work, he falls apart like a dandelion, cries foul and runs away to his hugbox and then asks unironically why nobody takes him seriously.

"Compassion" is just Dobsons word for asspats. He's trying to find excuses why he doesn't need to react to critique, of course it is because others are not compassionate enough, not because his skin is non-existent and he takes everything personally.

Just saw Dobson retweet about Gravity Falls ending. Here are my reactions.
1) Crap. He's in my fandom.
2) Why? The show doesn't seem like his usual brand of "play nice" crap and all the homoerotic undertones are between men.
3) Please God, don't let him do Mabel/Pacifica or Mabel/Wendy fanart.
4) Maybe he doesn't like the show and is celebrating it's ending?
5) If he makes lesbian fanart, it's going to be way creepy.
6) I would love to see him being chewed out for making creepy lesbian fanart.

It doesn't surprise me that Dobs shows up at the end of the series, then claim that he's a fan. It's Legend of Korra all over again. Yeah, Gravity Falls isn't Dobson's version of "play nice".

He claims to be a fan of the show for some time now.
Though I really, REALLY doubt he bothered watching most of it.
Just as a friendly reminder: That is the guy who denounced Halloween for being scary and cartoons turning scary around this time.
Gravity Falls is a show that is embracing scary and in some way "black humor" so much, the 3DS game that came out some months ago and i targeted for 6 year olds, actually has a throwaway line about one of the main characters having almost died at birth because the umbilical cord was choking him.

Considering the kind of shit Dobbles goes for I think Gravity Falls is too dark for him, it kind of pushes the boundaries of what a kid's show can get away with (scary wise and dark humor wise) or at least this is what I've been told I don't watch cartoons
