Agreed with above. There's a reason that for awhile, Wu's twitter icon was one of the more gratuitous abuses of the Facebook Angle I've ever seen.

Many of them have that whole love/hate relationship with things like beauty contests, sexy photography, and whatnot. It's why so many SJW females will bitch nonstop about contests like Miss Universe and then go and do "indie erotica" photoshoots to sell on their patreon, trying to cater to the guys who get off on bad tattoos and shaved heads.

Dobby really fits right in with those types, because at the root it's the same kind of "I know I'm worthless and at the same time I worship myself" complex he has.

That explains why I was yelled at for my sketchbook. Back on topic, it's not surprising that people like Dobson cry objectification, as the people being "objectified" usually have a nicer and more approachable personality.

Well, I think it may be even worse.

I think they know that if they didn't have such toxic personalities and worldviews, and that if they just made the effort to be nicer to everyone, they'd find themselves liked in return.

The problem is, that's not enough for their bloated egos. They can't settle for "average", they have to be in charge everywhere at everytime, and the thought that they may have to enter into a relationship where their partner is better than them, either in smarts, in looks, or just empowered enough to say "eff this" and leave at any time makes them very insecure. That's why they attack "heteronormativity" and the like so much, or why they all seem to congregate in these communities where everyone is a refrigerator kin or whatever, it's not that they can't succeeded in "average" , they won't LOWER themselves to it.

Ironically, this means they don't succeed because of their inherent standoffishness with society, while morons like me who still manage to be successful in life without being shrieking harpies piss them off even MORE.

True, the problem is that you don't improve at all, Dobson.

See you notice flaws and tell the artist what they can do to improve, politeness is only part of it. You don't mention the flaws, you never improve. In your case though, it's not that you don't acknowledge those flaws. It's that you make them worse and wear them like a badge of honor while brushing off the people who criticize you. Things you, as an artist, should never do.

So until you take your own advice, you shouldn't be giving it out.
