This might be slightly off topic, but for this new, burgeoning question of "omg how is Dobson a lolcow why are you obsessed with him?!?!" I think I have the perfect explanation for the people just don't see it.
The simplest idea of a lolcow is a crazy person who does crazy thing to laugh at. But the base definition is really someone who you can milk laughs from. Y'know. A LOL cow.
Dobson is a different kind of lolcow. He's a rare example of someone who is a failure on every conceivable level. And I do mean "every". From his chosen career path to the jobs he's been stuck with to his behavior as a person--hell, even his looks. He's the ultimate schadenfreude lolcow. He's the down-and-out protagonist at the beginning of a movie who never bucks up and becomes the protagonist. And he defies all logic by never changing in any way, basting in a pool of his own failure and stagnation. He's punchable as a human being, not just having the typical punchable face. He's so punchable his self-insert drawing is punchable, and it's supposed to be cute and cartoony. Other lolcows offer up big meals of drama and crazy to just scarf down and get your fill, while Dobson is like a sifter of drama you can sip from by the fire as you twirl it and guffaw at how much one man cannot be this much of a failure, yet here we are. And since every bit of it is of his own making, it just adds that extra okay to laugh at every bit of it. Even Chris-Chan has his mental problems that make some of his goofy shit less funny that it would be if someone who knew better was doing it.
Dobson is the ur-loser.
I know I'm gonna get "late" tags for this, but this just hit me and I felt it was worth sharing. Can't hurt to try and help the folks who don't get it to get it.
