I was wondering why exactly he was needing to defend Apple, and while I can't prove it aside from his usual reasons, I can offer a possible explanation:
Wu was posting about Apple a couple days ago and how revolutionary and amazing they are. So I can see Dobson doing this simply to once again get Sempai's approval.
Again, there's no real proof to it, but it's fitting of his behavior

Ok, I get that he tried to make pun about that obviously photoshopped picture and failed because "Where is the joke Dobson?"...
But can anyone explain to me how or why he leaps from Kayne West complaining about games for 2 year olds having in app purchase, to 'He is a bad parent'? That isn't even racist, that is just stupid and needlessly aggressive.

Because in typical Dobson fashion, when someone has an issue with something, instead of considering things from the other person's perspective or realizing they may have a point, Dobson ops to decide that the one criticizing is the problem(in this case, he thinks Kanye should have been paying attention to everything his child does while playing on an app for toddlers, and because he didn't, he's s neglectful father). Never mind that Dobson was bitching about his iPhone's newest update a week ago, now Apple can do no wrong(so says Wu) and Kanye must be at fault somehow.
Or maybe he just doesn't like Kanye's music. -shrugs-
And Rachel manages to answer the question this thread has been dealing with the past few days.

Nice to see that classic "all trolls have no life" arguement, its right up there with "all bullys are victims" and "all homophobes are closet cases".
When will cows learn they are just side shows to most of us, we have family, jobs and hobbies outside of laughing at them.

Seriously, he is just parroting for Wu.
Bad parents usually complain about things like "TV turns my kids into autists!" because all they do is ignore the child for decades.
Now, Dobbo thinks this is the same as West not knowing about in app purchases in a game and complaining about it.
Now I don't know much about the singer, but it is reasonable to assume 2 year olds don't have credit cards for in app purches and are too young to steal daddy's, so it is understandable that West missed it.
Of course for Dobbo, it equals the former form of bad parenting, because both complain about an electric device and Senpai Wu himself has complained.

...it came to me that, although he somewhat tries to be a professional artist over 10 years now, Dobson apparently never understood how to properly advertise himself.
It is a (hard) truth that if you want to make a living of the art you do, you not only need to be good at it, but also persistent in your output, reliable and somewhat 'aggressive' . You are not only selling your art but also yourself. Actually that is true for every person who is his own boss and wants to sell some goods or services to other people. Everything you do, everything you say in public can come back to haunt your business. But people don't mind what things you say in private (mostly because they don't know what you've said).
If you appear to be a guy that throws a tantrum on Twitter every other day, people will take their business elsewhere, especially when you can go to DeviantArt (or any other art site) and just scroll down to find another artist.
So yes, Dobson does not realize that everything he says public, every opinion he posts, has the power to point potential commissioners one way or the other. He does not seem to understand the difference between, saying something anonymously, publicly and in private. Instead he seems to feel the need to dobsplain himself every time somebody says something he doesn't like (be it honest critique, or just a trolling attempt) before he apparently mutes or blocks them. Again he pretty much behaves like a 14 year old that discovered the power of the mute/block button in order to have the last word in a conversation.... So exactly the kind of artist no one wants to hire.
You could argue that he is trying to attract the SJW crowd, but that is probably one of the worst internet-crowds to advertise to, all they do is being loud - they don't actually buy anything.

100% this! There are times I wish someone, either a friend or family member, would tell Dobson right to his face to GTFO Twitter. I swear, Dobson would have improved his life and professional output if he didn't spend so much time making a fool of himself on social media. The whole damn reason there are almost 1000 pages dedicated to him on the Farms is because he is a fountain of endless failure that never runs dry, every day he says something stupid because he is incapable to shut up or understand he is in the bottom of a pit of his own making. I'm certain that if he just shut up and worked on his art, all the "harassment" he complains about would be cut tenfold if not disappear completely and he would actually get legitimate work in an art field. But since that is not the case any potential client avoids him like the plague.

Well, 1000 pages because of his own flaws AND the Ahab like obsession others on this forum have with him. Including myself.
BTw, I agree with the fact that him not distancing himself from his internet persona a lot was a huge mistake. Best example: His old CathyN days. And without trying to beat on the fact again he did this sort of artwork, I think he could have avoided a bit of the attention from it not just by outright admiting it and moving on, but by also just doing a better job of hiding. To do so all he had to do was work with a more distinct artstyle than he had for his offical work. Unfortunately, that didn't work.
With that out of the way, I think another problem is that frankly, he has nothing to work with , that others demand. His "original" ideas (Alex, Patty, Danny etc.) are, if we ignore their problems as opinionated pieces already, overall too generic as that he could make something out of them. Alex e.g. lacks a story to get people into (to the point general western animated shows today have better set ups to work with than his stuff) and I never got the distinct feeling from what he draws and brags about, that he really has a clear sense of direction for his work.He has a set up for a story, but no idea how to start it, where it should go and how it should end. In fact, he doesn't even seem to have any imaginative idea for a piece of fanwork. People already bragged e.g. how his screensavers based on Steven Universe are pretty dull (especially the Lapislazuli one) and I have to agree. Drawing Lapislazuli trapped under the ocean since the events of season 1? Actually an awesome idea, if approached with the right level of originality in the drawing. Not just the character uncomfortably looking up, but e.g. her holding water chains to stop Jasper from emerging on the surface, all the while a look of distress and sorrow on her face. And the funny thing is, if he actually put that kind of effort in his fanwork, he could perhaps make an actual good name for himself. Let's face it: the average internet nerd/manchild embraces good fanwork more than something original. And considering the low standards some fandoms have, he could e.g. try to exploit the tumblr fanbase of Steven Universe, by making steven Universe comics (based on the show only, not his own stuff, so no blue bear) solely. It won't make him famous outside the fandom at first, but people may decide to demand more fanart, pay more on patreon to see his stuff and he could practice his artistic and storytelling skills for future projects. I mean, as much as they deserve to be made fun off, that's what quite a lot of bronies did around 2011/12 most prominently: Make stupid ask blogs on tumblr and draw comics, resulting in them gathering a fanbase. The result: This person e.g. makes currently at least 400 $ a month on patreon, gets donations, makes appearances at conventions and is often times forgiven when acting like a primadonna bitch.

TLDR: If Dobson would decide to go full fanart and start e.g. a tumblr dedicated to a self made fancomic of a show he likes, quality of it aside, he could become more popular and succesful than he is currently with his "original" content and opinions.

Seeing his comics like Alex Ze Pirate mentioned, it reminded me that one of Dobson's Patreon goals was to get the websites for all his comics up and running again. If you look at his Patreon he has achieved the $150 a month that he said he needed. I am not sure how long ago he reached that goal, but I haven't seen him mention a time frame for getting these back up or anything. I don't subscribe to his Patreon so maybe he has discussed it on there? Is there anyone invested in Dobson's Patreon that could give some insight?

The comics are actually on again. He has only done a shitty job at advertising that they are on/exist.
You know, just to showcase he does a bad job at advertising himself. the average perosn is not even aware that he has a separate internet presence aside of twitter or patreon where he loads the stuff up.

It is actually kinda fascinting for me. As someone who thinks that somewhere within the idea of Alex ze Pirate is a small spark of imagination that could turn into a satisfying idea for a wacky pirate adventure, looking over his artwork, seeing how it changed over the years (in parts for the worse) and realizing how he has problems wiht pacing a multi page chapter/story, makes me feel kinda bad. For the idea more so than the artist. Also, it is probably one of the poorest designed sites I have seen in a long time. Te deisgn is pretty dull and asid of the fact the archives work (now) I don't see anything that could keep my attention. No blog entries telling you something about the world of Alex, no hints on things to come, no shop to buy items or anything. Also how come that he doesn't just load up "Legends" by now, the volume that supposedly introduced Alex to the world of fiction and serves as backstory how she met her crew? The comic is over 13 years old. At this point he has to upload it just to give someone a guidebook/manual to his world.

Has he made any new AzP or even any new SYACs? Those were his most lulzy works imo and honestly spoke far more volumes about him than his shitty Patreon wallpapers or his mindless Twitter bitching.
Also, I would imagine they were Dobson's biggest draws, since they were (somewhat) original works and provided (lolcow-tinted) commentary on societal, Internet, and industry issues. If he's basically stopped doing those, then he's basically starving his fanbase and culling the rest of his Internet popularity. Even dedicated trolls will probably stop being interested in donating and immediately removing their pledges just to see what half-assed wallpaper he's put up, so as it stands, I don't see him running with this Patreon model for another year. Hell, if we get to March of 2016 and he's still above $100 I'll be genuinely surprised.
