I wonder if he'd be more upset if we just stopped talking about him.

If he really has run his course as a lolcow and is now more of a relic of a thing that was once funny but is now spergy, then maybe 1000 pages would be a good place to put it to an end. If all Kiwis just suddenly start unfollowing his twitter and ignoring everything he says he can't complain about being harassed and will probably start whining that he's being ignored. If then he starts acting like a lolcow again, the thread can be resurrected.

Just a suggestion. I'm neutral either way.

Sometimes I think he secretly thrives off the negative attention and posts like:
Are just an attempt to antagonize trolls, if everyone ignored him I'm guessing he'd seek out trolls on 4chan, rejoin DeviantArt or even maybe make an account here.

I hope that's what they are, because the alternative is even sadder: that he fully believes himself to be the paragon of feminism

That's not a bad idea. Sure, I'd be interested to see how he'd react - which immediately makes me wonder, as I've no wish to force the issue. But given the diminishing returns on his recent output - and that a natural part of his slow spiral downwards should be to finally lose the interest of his "haters" - maybe now is the time to bring this thread to a somewhat dignified close.
 
See, I know he's trying to come off as "sassy" here, but it's still the most accurate tweet I've seen from him in a while.

We could lockdown for a month or so, watching but not posting then hopefully have some good material for the new version of the thread.
It would be interesting to see how dobbie deals with the lack of attention.

That said he does read his thread.

What, you mean he'll convince himself we're locking the thread just to "troll" him? Maybe so, but give him a few days - once the novelty (and whatever its short term effects may be) have worn off, we'll get a chance to see how the drop in attention really affects him...

Edit: "locking the thread" = trolling...

A traditional 1000 page lock and rest period would be good, I believe. As others have said he's desperate for attention and not giving him it might create funny situations.

Pretty much.

Not that it really matters because there are folks at ED even more creepy and obsessive than any of us. They will give him the attention he craves.

True dat. In which case, it all hinges on whether or not there's enough content atm to be going on with.

Personally, I think it wouldn't hurt to take a breather. Give Dobson a chance to create some new stuff (optimistic) - and also allow this thread's inner sperg to simmer down a little.
(Only a little, mind you. If nothing else, I'm a realist...)

And then fall into a depression over our disappearance? Maybe he'll start making passive aggressive comments towards EDF2.
(Though Godbear help him if he does, as in that case, he'd have much tougher babies to deal with...)
