Eh, agree to disagree. I was never here to mock his art. It's his general attitude and treatment of others that brings me here. And he hasn't changed in that aspect since I first posted in this thread.

Well there was his latest comic, where he critiqued every single aspect of another man's artwork, while not drawing a single thing in the actual comic himself.

No, refocus and examine where things are. When certain trolls come to threads, it is a wise idea to pause for a moment and ask - "what is the cow here and have we exhausted it?"

It took us 3000 pages to do that on Marjan. We are nearly at page 1000 on Dobby and @Dynastia is showing up to do a cleansing. I think refocusing is a good idea.

Frankly, while I plan to do something in order to criticize his opinion on certain subjects soon and work on that Alex idea I had two months ago, I think I will not react to anything by him till he starts insulting a dead person or something. Lay down, see what he does on his own and if it is nothing, witness mighty dobbear fall like Romania under Ceaucescu.

It's true that we take every single thing he says and criticize it to death, I didn't want to say it before because I've been part of it too so I'm definitely in no place to pretend otherwise.

But he does say/draw laughable (or cringey or hateful) things at times (not always of course) and this is a place where we can talk about it.
At this point I'm thinking he's not too much of a lolcow because we don't need to milk the guy for him to do stupid things, he milks himself all the time and we've seen it. That's only the result of his own attitude and, of course, all the things that happened to him... so it's fair to say, after all these years, he's in too deep that he doesn't need the trolls to be, well, Dobson anymore. It can and will happen in itself.

It takes a lot of courage to admit that you have mental health problems...

...that is what I would say, if a person with mental health problems acknowledges them and then goes to a doctor in order to get therapy or at least a prescription for anti-depressants. It is a big step to do so and I applaud everyone who manages to overcome his or her problems.

Dobson however, seems to be like one of those "self diagnosed" tumblrites, who use their self-generated illnesses to generate more asspats. He's always talking about his PTSD, but I never read that he is seeing a therapist because of that or that he takes happy pills (feel free to correct me on that).

If you think something is wrong with your 'brain' - by lord - take these concerns to a specialist and not to Twitter.

Dobson does have a job. He is an illustrator, right. I am sure he does work for stock, contract and other means to pay his bills.

I guess the thing I want to ask of the people who still follow him is this.

What exactly do you want of Andrew Dobson?

• The guy has shown his ability and yes he seems to have let himself hit a plateau or two, but what artist hasn't?
• He is not on SSI, is he? Is he still living with his rents?
• He has done some hilariously dumb things, but what normal person hasn't?
• His life is not a perpetual slide to ruin like CWC(for a while at least), ADF or other recognized actual cows.
• He is an SJW, so what? At a certain point hating SJW's makes you as miserable as they are.

I guess what I am asking here is at what point does this cross from examining an idiot, to becoming a perpetual hatedom.

I see back and forth tweets, but I am missing the humor in this. At this point attacking him is no longer funny. It is just plain disappointing.

In my opinion I think it's pretty irrelevant if a lolcow has a job or pays rent or whatever, I'm also guessing most people here don't really care about how talented an artist Dobson is since his comics are often commented on because it's extension of his views in the same way Sonichu is for Chris (Although it is interesting how he's regressed as an artist, I imagine you'd only find it that way if you had an interest in Dobson in the first place though).

Funny thing, I recently read a comic about them from the old days, inspired by the cartoon.
Yeah, these two were gay for each other.

He has admitted to seeing a therapist, but honestly therapy can only go so far if a person doesn't care to change their thought process.

As for the "eye of the storm" thing...don't let yourselves get riled up when someone comes in to intentionally shitpost. As its been said, they seem to draw out ones that take Dobson and hating him way too fucking seriously, so it's best not to respond lest you become one of them.
