He's not interested in winning over male fans, just impressing women, specifically the tumblr-feminist group due to their similar hatred of all things "male". He'll block a male Twitter user the instant they say something even akin to criticism, but Rachel, someone who was clearly pointing out what was wrong with his argurments in a blunt matter, was still allowed to view his feed, only eventually being muted. And should a girl ever disagree with his opinion, he immediately dismisses them as not knowing what they're talking about, as in the case of the teenage lesbian that pointed out his KorraSami interest was more than a bit creepy.

Dobson wants to be seen as an intellectual, someone "not like other guys" with unique, controversial opinions and radical new ideas to change the world for the better. Instead, all he comes across as is a typical fedorabro with a swelled ego and a persecution complex.

What's entertaining is that he somehow fails to realize this.

It's also worth noting that in the rare instances where he draws a comic that features his mary sue arguing with a girl, he acts extremely submissive and basically agrees to everything they say. Which is the exact opposite of how he deals with men in his comics where he depics them as mostorously ugly and completely irrational while he has his flatteringly drawn character happily picking apart everything they say and making them look like big dummies.
 
Getting sprayed with water is a very traumatic experience. I cannot believe how you guys are treating a very distressing situation that has clearly affected Dobby's mental health so severely. Every morning he has to relive that experience when his sweat mixed with water and smelled like urine. How terrible.

The Dobson topic is in this weird state. He used to be a lot more spastic, overly obsessing and replying to trolls and making hilariously out-of-touch and dowright retarded strawmen to bash in his topics along with being a general hypocrite and unlikable douche on Twitter, but ever since he started getting a (somewhat) stable income on Patreon he's become steadily more and more lazy. He hasn't updated AzP in forever nor has he written a SYAC, which were basically the reasons why you would call Dobson a lolcow. This was a man who literally called a place "Sarkeesiland" (complete with Anita Hall, and yes he did tweet that to Anita).

But he's basically stopped doing his lolcow artwork and all he does is bitch on Twitter. If you have some background with Dobson his hypocrisy still rings true and I still find his Tweets hilarious at times, but it really has descended into a bitter, stupid man who makes stupid Tweets on Twitter and some of us look at them at laugh.

He's less of a lolcow and more douche right now.

Patreon will probably be Dobson's death knell. He won't make any new fans from it and his old fans will get fed up with his inability to make new work.

Although at this point I'm convinced that all of his fucking Patreon patrons are trolls like us anyway. In which case, if you are donating, stop. He's stopped making shit anyway.
