Steam is totally and completely within their right to remove Hatred if they felt it violated policies, yes. However, the reason they chose to remove it was due to an alleged ESRB violation that could have been cleared up quite easily with some communication. Gabe's response was a smart call to remind consumers that they should be the ones to determine if a game is worth purchasing or not, instead of a platform that excludes titles in the name of morals.

Of course, Dobson doesn't care about that. Dobson just wants to post 140 characters with interest on a controversy because he needs to get his daily dose of hate, or he will feel incomplete.
