Nope, anyone with a miiverse account can comment on whatever Dobson does.Oh.. Well, I guess it's good most his trolls don't have WiiUs. Do you have to be friends to comment?
I think you and Foltest (and others) are both right. Dobbers's art was far more technically competent a few years ago compared to the shitshow it is today, but it was never particularly interesting or original. But he's lost technical skill over the years and replaced it with more self-indulgence.Eh, call me an art snob, but it seems pretty generic to me. Anyone can copy the style of anime.
This might sound really ween, but I want someone to spam that traced overlay of Hank all over his Patreon and Twitter.The head is traced 1:1, the rest of the body doesn't really match up due to the Dobson-version being too short. However...
... when you adjust the rest of the body (of original Hank) by making that shorter as well, it lines up almost perfectly.
Gee, Dobs. I wonder why noone is willing to hire you...
Big Hank? King of the Ben?This might sound really ween, but I want someone to spam that traced overlay of Hank all over his Patreon and Twitter.
It can be the new Big Ben.
Also, the short video gives a glimpse into Dobson's insecurities, at 0:27, who is the guy in the suit supposed to be that is "keeping him away" from doing what he wants?
What confuses me is why he decided to draw the burning end of that man's cigar disembodied from the rest of the cigarI think it's a call-back to the guy in this strip-

Basically whining about the evils of ad revenue businesses and how dare they want to make a profit.
Additional fun! If memory serves me correctly, I think I read somewhere that the company he was complaining about was Hiveworks (admittedly, I haven't seen his stuff listed under their directory of comics or affiliates currently, so who knows).
Worse yet, why is the burning end facing towards his mouth in the second panel? is he supposed to be spinning the cigar or something?What confuses me is why he decided to draw the burning end of that man's cigar disembodied from the rest of the cigar

Dobson seems to care an awful lot about being paid for his artwork despite having few commissions, little Patreon backing, and no series or strips that people want to buy.I think it's a call-back to the guy in this strip-

My god, that thumb when that he carries that dime O_O;;;;;
Dobson is sick of being the odd autist out and is embracing his tomgirl side. His new name is Amy Bear.
Now to get rid of that peskyand start tribbing.
That sums up damn near everything Dobson draws. Pretty much the only exception is when the hands aren't visible.My god, that thumb

As usual it's hard to tell Dobby's point beyond "Stuff happened to me and it pissed me off" but the fact that the kind-of-a-Jew takes a single coin out of a sack stuffed with money seems to imply Dobby feels he's entitled to more money. Which makes his whole "look at that money grubbing capitalist" shtick rather flaccid.
