I'm guessing half of those agencies are for hospice.

Nope, literally 90% of them are home care agencies.

Ehhhhh...

I know nothing about Erie, PA services in particular but in general both could be true. In [STATE REDACTED], you can be on hospice care while having a bed in an SNF on the fuckin' rehab wing. I mean, make that make sense. Home health and hospice also aren't mutually exclusionary (I think).

"Yes, we will be rehabbing your 98-year-old grandfather from his injuries with lots of rolling/walking/OT/PT! Oh, also, he's heavily sedated and on incredibly strong pain meds so that he doesn't scream out in the night and horrify all the under-70 residents who are just waiting for their hip surgery to heal. No, no, he's definitely on the mend! Never mind that he can't stand up anymore and we have to clean him in bed every day. It's not like we're just placing him in a 'rehab' room to scam the federal gov't out of 1.5-2.0x reimbursements, ahaha."

-paraphrased from actual real-life scenes

But wait, what in the everloving christ does any of that have to do with the Poopsquantch? Well, not much at first glance. However, the point is that lots of healthcare companies/businesses/whatever all rip off the system on the regular (speaking totally apolitically). Anyway Royal forcing some poor saps wipe Baby Amdy's butthole in order to skim extra Medicaid money would not surprise anyone working in that industry in the slightest.

As someone familiar with the mental and DD healthcare system, it really wouldn't. It def depends on what the services provided are, but generally Andy's services are always going to be paid for. He's on Medicaid (or a SNP plan, so Medicaid + Medicare), so Royal will get reimbursement for them, and he's also on SSI, so they can take 66% of his check for his living expenses in a group home situation, more if he were in a nursing home.

That being said, the amount of resources that Andy takes up makes it totally not worth it to any care agency besides maybe an institution that can employ physical or chemical restraint methods and make him shut the fuck up.

In a group home setting, even with his Cash Cow Government Leech status, he's a net loss given his behavior issues.

And just to drive the point home, here is a list of home care agencies in Erie PA, you can cross out Royal though.

Don't expect Andrew to go back to the ditch house anytime soon....

By the time Andrew depletes all of these agencies. (Godforbid)Tom might be dead by then.
I get the feeling he'll blow through one or two more of these and then he'll try to bounce from Erie. these homes will start talking to each other and they'll all start getting wise to his habits. that's when andy is going to get on the bus and flee to some other city.

Andy will need fresh victims.

Andy is way way too much of a problem child to be worth it for any legit health care angency and even most of the crooked ones. They can fill that bed with some spaz that just quietly sits in a corner and eats his Cheerios by tomorrow. They literally don't have to put up with his shit. And kicking a problem like him's ass to the curb actually makes the regulators think they aren't crooked. The only type of care home that might see a profit from Andy is the truly horrifying "chain him to the wall in the basement" type group homes run by Cereal killers. And even for them it might be too much effort.

I keep saying it but he's angling himself to end up in a state hospital.

It's pretty hard to accomplish. Also one of the worst places you can possibly end up. But if he keeps fucking around he's gonna find out.

All things considered a state hospital or similarly secure psychiatric facility would likely be the best case scenario for the rest of the world.

Andy will probably never see the light of day again if he gets tossed into a looney bin like that, but he won't be able to terrorize the Ditch household or healthcare workers anymore.

Maybe in Europe, but not the US? The government doesn't wanna waste money everyday just to lock someone like Andy up. Its better to just let him roll towards his own inevitable end. This is how lazy the gov is when handling retards. A normal prison however would be best for him. Just toss him in with some niggers and let them handle Andy.

They use state hospitals for people who have shown themselves to be at highest risk of hurting others/themselves and show little likelihood of improvement.

They are not nice places and they still exist here in the US. If Andy continues like how he has been, that's exactly where he's going to end up.

it would be considerably cheaper at this point to put Andy in a state hospital than continue paying for his endless "services" he's grifted.
At Royale, I'm assuming they are working with a pretty decent staffing ratio. A state hospital is gonna have 1 worker to every 4, maybe 5 patients.

His SSI will go to the state and Medicaid as "recovery," and any assets he has will be sold off (this happens to old people all the time; they go into hospice or a care home, and Medicaid puts a lien on their homes and property to repay their debt)

The food is going to be dirt cheap, sold to the lowest government contract bidder. Bye bye Andy foodstamps.

He won't get any of those "special" services like speech therapy, urology, hygiene consultants, whoever else he tries to include in his grift. He will get a psychiatrist, a therapist who sees half the ward and can spend 20 mins with him a week, and an MD who comes by once a week.

Those cozy "nice textured" adult diapers? If hes lucky, he will get a cheap incontinence pad. Honestly, probably not, and feces and urine-related incidents directed at staff are treated with a fat fucking dose of chemical restraint.

I can think of 30 more things that would reduce his Leech status in a state-run hospital. The only downside would be no more ditch content.

Isn't Danderson in one of these? I think it takes more than assaulting his family to get there.

The only way Andy ends up in a State Hospital for longer than a 48 hour hold is if he actually hurts someone. And is charged for it. The problem is actual Psych's flag him as the faking fetishist that he is. This puts in a weird no man's land where nobody is willing to take responsibility for him. Sadly we no longer do Frontal Lobotomies.

If only it could be discovered that the dried dung of the poopsquatch has healing properties under Traditional Chinese Medicine. Andy would then be chained up in a barbaric warehouse factory and fed high fiber pet food while highly skilled Chinese slave laborers collect his shit 24x7. It might actually be paradise for him.

You mean like constantly committing what is considered sexual assault by law against who knows how many medical staff?

That's what it is every time Andy cajoles someone into changing his diaper for sexual reasons. And he'd be more likely to end up in a state hospital than prison if anyone actually wised up and fucking did anything about it

Why you say he's a net loss???

Forgive me if I'm wrong but,If that's the case then that would be proof of people violating HIPAA at a large scale wouldn't it? Which would launch an investigation within the health care system around there, It could basically show to other potential clients, that you make bad enough behavior, other agencies will find out, which would prompt an investigation thus getting health care workers in trouble. Even if they know all about Andrew's history, they can't admit that they know about him and refuse to take him because that would be proof of a HIPAA violations wouldn't it?

Again forgive me if I'm wrong.

That or attempted murder towards Tom and Joe.

But they would waste money on someone like Daniel Larson? Who is imo alot LESS dangerous than Andrew Ditch?

Why you say he's a net loss???
He costs more than what they can skim off his checks at 66%. He is so bad that he makes caretakers quit. They have to interview and hire new ones, often for more pay than the previous caretakers.

He runs up admin time by bombarding them with calls.

He calls police and EMS constantly, including on his non-verbal roommate.

He is such a pain in the ass that any ethical and legally running care home would be running at a net loss just housing and "caring" for him.
