I've been watching a movie a day for the past 4 years or so. Mostly 70s, 80s and 90s action, horror, sci-fi and mystery. A lot of it is direct-to-video.

At some point I decided to start clipping scenes that are funny, nonsensical or just amusing for whatever reason. I've gathered over 200 and cherry picked about half of them to post in this thread. ALL clips will be sauced. Also, I'll try to provide context or a short comment for each one. I'll try to post a single clip every day.

We're starting off strong with Ving Rhames' unintentionally hilarious acting in The Tournament (2009). The movie's about a bunch of professional hitmen fighting in a battle royale while millionaires watch and place bets. Rhames is the last man standing. The clip is the very last scene in which he confronts Davos after learning that the latter killed his wife just to get him to participate in the game. I clipped this over a decade ago and it still cracks me up. The film isn't as bad as it may seem. It's schlocky and could use better editing, but it's entertaining enough.

Had to reencode it because there were some issues with the codec. It should be fine now.

Alien: Covenant (2017) - I added much needed sound effects for my own amusement. I never had an excuse to post this anywhere, so here goes. I haven't seen the whole movie, by the way.

P.S. Holy shit, it's been 8 years since this movie came out?

The Alternate (2000) - this is typical DTV action schlock. I love how there's a big shootout in a tiny hotel room and nobody's actually behind cover. If they cut to a wide shot, it would look like that famous scene from Naked Gun.

American Eagle (1989) - unintentionally funny acting is a rare thing. This guy's wife was abducted by the main villain (played by Vernon Wells AKA Bennett from Commando) and it makes him sad.

American Ninja 2 (1987) - it's clearly Michael Dudikoff's double in the wide shot. Why didn't they shoot it from a different angle?

Ark Of The Sun God (1984) - those miniatures are very cute. Definitely watch this clip in fullscreen and maybe turn up the brightness. Some of the shots were edited into Cop Game (1988). Both those movies were made by Italian schlockmeisters: Antonio Margheriti and Bruno Mattei.

The Art Of Dying (1991) - this is a typical domestic disturbance call in the US. Starring Wings Hauser, guy who was typecast as an LA cop in the 80s and 90s.

Apex (2021) - take a close look at Willis's face in the little wristband hologram. It cracks me up. This scene reminds me of something you can see in Baldur's Gate 3.

The Barbarians (1987) - the mating call of a barbarian is so powerful it can even save lives.

Bio-Zombie (1998) - it doesn't matter what they're talking about. Just wait for the neat camera trick.

Biohazard (1985) - title drop and textbook CPR, both in a single scene. The movie was reviewed by Red Letter Media, if anyone wants to learn more.

Blast (1997) - legless Native American Rutger Hauer (this is never explained) saves the day by attaching an explosive to the last remaining terrorist. Go frame by frame when it goes off, it's worth it.

Bye Bye, Jupiter (1984) - one of only three movies I've seen that have Japanese hardsubs for English dialogue.

Reminder that before lowtax blew his brains out he would watch old movies everyday to stave off the thought of doing anything remotely productive like interacting with his children.

Carnival Of Souls (1962) - remember the "got a light?" scene from season 3 of Twin Peaks? This scene was an inspiration for it.
