Well here in WI we have 'badger care' which is a government subsidized health insurance for low/no income people. If you have it, you have a 'case' manager. There is a list of approved doctor offices etc for it as well. Generally speaking you don't need to worry about switching doctors, but some people do have to.

I don't think the term case manager here means they are necessarily for a welfare case. It could be these people are subcontracted to inform the government when to discontinue providing for that service.

-Most- insurance companies when it comes to mental health services set up a few sessions at a time. I guess maybe their 'case manager' is some how in charge of that as well. I don't know if they are stupid or not in regards to the term being used. It legitimately makes no sense to use it. I can't think of any way it does make sense. I know alot of people when they see a shrink do weekly sessions, and there is a chance it's sort of like a free clinic where they only give you a week of meds at a time. So they have to go back over and over.

Honestly it does sound like a county services building, but ...I don't know. Maybe it's a shared office space?

This is literally what a county services offers. I don't fucking really get what to make of it as I'm not sure how Kentucky sets up county services. Ours is county ran, but they might dole out the job to others.

Even if they were applying for these benefits..why the fuck weekly? I've never heard of it being weekly. Even if they were applying for these benfits...ugh my brain hurts!

I guess we'll just have to find out; but this place seems to be pretty legit vs a scam artist company. I'm curious about the interior etc. How does Amber even sit to talk to a therapist if she ever went.

Oh I know about auto wrecks, but I've never really thought of material strength in stretchers. I did some tism about how she'd legitimately need a heavy rescue group out there. She's actually considered a potentional biohazard if she was in a wreck. She's over 600 pounds of fat, on top of a combustion engine. They'd need to treat as a hazard situation from an envriomental stand point. <If you never watched or read about it, when a major wreck occurs, the first concern is actually enviromental, they'll make sure any hazardous materials are taken care of before the wreck. That means draining off fuel yadda yadda>.

Can you imagine Hamber surviving a wreck only for them being unsure how to do any thing because if they tear into the vehicle sparks might cause a fire and she's to god damn fat to even try and throw off fuel soaked clothing etc? Because that is what could occur. Motor oil leaks etc would seep into her skin and clothes and she's to fat to get out of the car, or take off the soaked clothing. So likely outcome if Hamber survived the crash aspect is she'd end up immolated soon after from sparks etc.

I'm going to be a little bit autistic here, I deserve my ratings.

Julia Kristeva is a philosopher who invents this concept of the "abject", which is stuff we want to separate from ourselves but is part of us. For example, we tend to see us as alive and death as separate from us, but when we lose hair, skin cells, etc. we're constantly dying. Death is abject because we want it to be us vs. them, but it is part of us; these images of Hamber trigger what Kristeva would call an abject experience. We see she is sick, we see she is dying, we see all these wrong with her. Simultaneously she is technically "alive", and she isn't "unwell" in a way that can be designated like someone with cancer or on life support; it's hard to "other" her because she's just a fat lazy asshole that whilst obviously not healthy, isn't easy to mark as "sick" either. Our mind struggles with the fact that she is neither dead or alive, sick or well, etc. and we are disgusted and repulsed by it. As she looks more and more unwell and close to death, those feelings intensify I guess. It also sort of hearkens back to a discussion here a few days ago about how many of her viewers in some way identify with her, through overeating, struggling with addictive behaviors, shitty childhoods, whatever. Lot's of us see very tiny parts of ourselves in Hamber and that absolutely fucking repulses us because we want to see her as completely separate to us. This is how I sort of interpret my feelings towards these images I guess.

I also agree with you comments on a certain amount of fat in terms of "storage for winter" being glorified and attractive in a sense, vs. pure excess. She doesn't just overeat, she overeats herself into a point of immobility, all whilst managing to pollute the environment too, because packaged fast food is always going to be worse for packaging than making a meal with vegetables that don't need wrappers. Even when she does buy supermarket food, it's always excessively packaged. She can afford to fuck the environment because she's eating herself to death, and can afford to eat herself to death too. It's insulting.

That's an interesting take actually; I hadn't thought about how it colored the speculation going on here. Someone who is often around drugs is more likely to call her weird behavior out as drug use than someone, who say, has a mental illness that performs the same way. Of course, given the vast quantity of content she has put out and the constant inconsistency and avoidance of giving straight answers, I can hardly attribute all the crazy speculation to a case of that. Especially when we're how far behind in her video timeline now?

To be fair, it's a business, and businesses are all about profit. Assuming the patients actually have choice regarding who they see, if these businesses treat their patients shitty, they'll go elsewhere, so treating their patients well will maximize their profit.

Agreed. Businesses are about profit, and I don't begrudge any business profit. But a few things: rarely is a for profit medical establishment so aggressively open about profiting off the ill while never mentioning patients and the quality of their care being at least a secondary concern. That's striking to me.

Thing 2: This is Uncle Fuck, KY where mental health options are extremely limited if there are any at all, so going elsewhere is likely not an option. It's like they have a captive customer base and are shooting fish in a barrel while selling obscenely priced monthly partnership packages of their backs. And t-shirts. And child abuse stats.
