And yet there was such a big time frame for you to sign up for said health insurance. Just like going to ER at midnight for a bladder infection that could have been seen to at a normal doctor or urgent care during the daytime while playing board games with everyone.

Enrolling in an insurance plan is a bridge too far because she may have had to spend some actual time and effort on it. Bingo! I agree. She skips out on the bills. If she goes to a public hospital rather than a private one, then they are more than likely writing off all or most of the bill. I wouldn't at all be surprised if she either under claims her income or states that she has zero income. Hospitals do send people to collections, but unless the person has an appreciable steady income, property, or something tangible of value, it often times gets written off. Local, state and federal taxes all fund treatment for "the poor". AL probably has nothing on paper. Including taxes. She owns nothing of value. Unless the hospital wants wax melts and journals as payment. This is also why a simple ER visit for, say, a cut requiring sutures etc...turns into a 17 hour ordeal. The Big ALs of the world clogging up vital resources for non emergent services that they will never pay for. And, in the US at least, because of the fear of litigation, nobody is ever turned away from ER services at a public hospital. It would be that one time that some heifer like AL or Chantal waddles into the ER with stomach pain, presumably from over eating, gets turned away and ends up having a triple A rupture and the hospital gets sued.

To date, from what I've seen, every time she goes to the ER..it is never a local one..... she has no valid ID. Her money isn't even in her name. She hasn't ever used the ER for an actual emergency. You know, going to one an hour+ away..doubt it was an actual emergency.

This leads me to suspect she is very likely not giving her real name etc. I don't know if Becky is involved in this or not, at best, she's dodging the bill with these extremes, at worst, she could be throwing Becky under the bus. What is interesting to me is when it finally ends in an actual emergency, she'll be brought to the local hospital in Monticello, not Lexington. She'll have alot harder time lying about basic information because she's still in the same town and when an actual emergency strikes, they won't let her just give a random name every time new paper work needs to be filled, or need Becky to fess up to who she is, and need to find family for permissions.
