Amber sees eating as a competition, whether WW, counting calories, dietary changes, or her normal eating habits she has to eat the most in the fastest time. She always falls back on the excuse that WW and calorie counting "allowed" her to eat whatever she's wants and she knows damn well she's out of control and needs a firm hand to guide her. To admit that Krystal's parents were the only reason she lost weight would take more control away from her. Control is always what Amber craves.
