along with knowing that thomas wood creepy nerf guy... i also knew this person in person too. i lived up north for a spell and i knew her in person, i hung out with her we visited and ate dinner together sometimes...she even helped me with some stuff , but she liked to claim that other disabled folks was trying to ''be more lower functioning'' then her... but yet that was all of what SHE DID, and yes that latest candid shot of her leaving the super market, (price chopper in burlington) yes that is her, she had me fooled and my family and caregivers fooled too for te longest time, yeah id loe to know why she fakes all this, i cant understand it, and i cant see why keep up such an act for so long.... she needs to apply those skills to an acting group or something because for the longest time she had so many folks convinced

She must have some serious mental issue. Munchhausen's by internet? It's easier over the internet. Because all you need to do is make it look like you are disabled for some videos, pics and posts. It's easy to maintain and the con can go on for years without anybody knowing. But the fact that she does it in public too and people knew yet she didn't stop? That's disturbing.

I read she had a bad reaction to taking LSD over a long period of time. But if she's aware that she is faking you can't blame it entirely on that. She must love not having to do anything all day and have her ass wiped by caretakers. It's like being a big, disabled baby.

I'm pretty sure she's not schizophrenic. Serious LSD abuse can seemingly fuck someone up for a while, but unless they permanently lose it, this almost always wears off to some degree, usually back to normalcy. Whenever I've seen an acid burnout, though, they've been on lots of acid for a long time, to the point they have a huge tolerance for it and it doesn't even make them trip any more, just fucks them up.

yeah i agree, yes i heard/ read that many sources talk about her heavy drug use , plus her Schitz dx and other DXs that seemed to come and go over the years, yes i think she is a major munchausenss. now that being said she does have some legit health issues and mental health issues, (hence the extreme attention seeking and disability faking and her over all behavior and mind set shows shes not well, and i guess she claimed the disabilities and such that was more 'fashionable'' then being labeled mentally ill? who knows... and no matter how you look at it, she is crazy as a loon

Yeah, I doubt she is either, but I'm wondering if LSD might have an effect on other psychological conditions.

I think it might actually improve the non-psychotic conditions. At least in moderation. It doesn't seem to do a lot of good for outright psychos, though.

Don't know if anyone has already said this, but this video and description are enough alone to prove she is a fakey faker with her pants absolutely on fire. Because she's an "autism advocate", she'd be well-fucking-versed in the huge array of ways people with autism can communicate. Fuck, they don't even need to be able to speak or understand language. Just recognize simple symbols. There are so many different types of symbol boards, "I need" boards, phone apps, standalone communication devices, hand signals, etc. where people can communicate quite effectively. The notorious sounds and stimming are just demonstrations of frustration from not being able to communicate their needs, yet she was making the sounds, then explaining herself. It's rather offensive how ignorant she is of the disorder she's faking.

Also:
(a) The fact that she can communicate her needs (let's just forget the fact that she can communicate them eloquently) means she's not fucking low-functioning. She'd be mid-functioning. (b) She's like 30 or so, so she would've been in school around other kids who were using communication devices. She would've been offered one immediately after she showed signs of being able to communicate via one if she attempted any of this shit in school. And most importantly, (c), just like you don't develop fetal alcohol syndrome years after birth, you also don't devlop the 'tism years after birth. Your caretakers may not notice the signs until you're older, but the 'tism has been with you since utero. While its cause is still unknown, it is known that you're born with it. Any autism advocacy program should've booted her for that claim alone.
 
holy fuck i used to follow this crazy on Tumblr. i had to unfollow because she posts tons of rambling essays about her special specialness and when she got the feeding tube and kept rambling about that and her fucking anal suppositories i definitely had to nope out. i sensed she was fake but like....her presence is so grotesque and pathetic you feel bad for questioning it.

that whole experience is even weirder with the fakeness confirmed.

Not quite true. My brother makes those noises and he types on an iPad to communicate. He stims vocally and sometimes it's super hella annoying so I put on music for him to listen to instead and he quiets down. He makes noises when he needs sound stimulation and can't get unstuck to turn music on for himself.

A former lolcow autist I met in person in 2009 can talk and she made those noises when she thought I was going to harass her but she stopped when I said I wasn't going to give her any shit.

Sometimes they don't realize they're doing it or can't help doing it but if you back off a little or distract their attention with something else the noises stop.

Amanda or Mel or whatever she goes by now takes it way overboard and it sucks that people buy it. Some behaviors don't have a meaning that goes further than it feels good in the moment.
 
I ship her with CWC, they even have that weird thing about their parents.
It´s like his long lost sister Crystal, only far more competent than him at getting randos´ sympathies.

Also, whats the chance she needed the feeding tube once, doesn´t need it anymore and just keeps it around to make herself look pity-worthy?

i get what your saying but i lived up north in vt for 7 and a half years, i knew this loony chick, but also new england especially vt the society is all about,'' live and let be'', very passive aggressive inward turned people who typically do not step up or get involved even if asked. ;-/

No, unfortunately I don't. if one wants to, one can put together a lot of information about the 'characters' on the bus, often you see them twice a day, five days a week, so over time you either get a mental image of who they are or piece together a lot of info from overhearing a piece of conversation here and there. If she is working, it's online. No one is going to hire someone that looks like that. I don't mean physicality, I mean no bra, etc. The other lady likely has never had a job, she just seems like a lifelong post soul. She doesn't talk, either by choice or health or mental issue, I don't know. But, I bet the bus drivers know a bit about both of them. Bus drivers are like bar tenders, they know everything about everyone. And, I just realized that's the first step.

A couple of last things - I went back and went through the pictures and videos linked earlier in the thread and for a little while I convinced myself it's not the same person because of how she acts in the videos. I know 100% that it is the same person but that is how strong the cognitive dissonance is from what I have seen and what the videos show.

The video of her walking up by UVM, that's not how she walks, she walks like I do- a normal person. The water boiling video, could that person ride the bus successfully by herself? No. But, she does.

It struck me that she's visually a chameleon. She never looks the same. The only thing each picture and video has in common is her unusual unattractiveness. You have to look at her nose to know it's the same person. In some of her recent (ish) vimeo videos she's small breasted with short hair and just a bit of facial hair.

I mentioned the above because I *think* I have been aware of her longer than I thought. In one of her blogs she mentioned taking ballet and wearing a foot brace. Well, I also used to be aware of a young woman I would see downtown ALL the time. She was uncomfortably unattractive with very short hair that looked like a semi abusive parent cut for her. I wasn't sure if the person was male or female but they had breasts and female accouterments (bag, etc) so I cataloged them as female.

She wore an obvious foot brace and orthopedic shoes and... would smile at people if someone spoke to her. My son knew this person so I am going to ask if it's the same person. Except for the purple hair this person looked EXACTLY like the person in the ferret picture. The nose is so distinctive in side view that it's memorable. And, if my son actually knew her then that means she spoke. He would have mentioned if she didn't. Maybe it's not her but my gut says it was.

.. oh the lady you saw at price chopper or shaws, that was amanda, like you sais she isa chamelon. but amada, you can see has changed through life even on this blog and al the archived stuff of hers, she used to be the shaved head autistic, then she had a ''diapers and powerchair phase'', then.... this she slowly morphed intothis, and took on another image after her dad died and when i knew her she would walk wih a cane ora single crutch at times when she couldnt use her powerchair , shes nuts and a major munchie

LSD abuse had nothing to do with this. This is nothing but committed fraud and a ''fetish'' for disability/being disabled. I'm surprised how long she's kept this up but I do see her slipping and changing her story and symptoms more. Ten years ago (or longer) Amanda had a documentary made about her and an interview with Sanjay Gupta - the con was paying off for her and she got exactly what she wanted out of it.
 
despite being short and slightly lacking in content this thread is one of the most surreal for me. I genuinely believed she was disabled. I saw her hairy chinned cockeyed pics, saw her gibbering flailing videos, got up close and personal with her oozing tubage, scrolled quickly past her multiple rambling essays on my dash, and felt sorry for her. I just couldn't fathom someone would make all this up. it never crossed my mind, even though I remember some posts about people accusing her of faking. tumblr drama, I thought. clearly this googly eyed hairy fatso isn't making it up.

but she is.
