Look, I get the Dumbass Dad/Dumbass Male trope needs to die. But seriously though, kids shows like Pokemon are allowed to have realistic conflicts and misunderstandings such as the conflict in that episode. Of course, it is not going to be completely realistic and is probably sugar-coated for children. But honestly, children shouldn't have to only have the most cynical parts of the world, much like how it is absolute bullshit for children to have only the most idealistic parts of the world. The world needs a balance of both idealism and cynicism and sometimes, that balance is expressed on a children's television show like Pokemon.

However, if you are going to be criticizing an episode of a television show, including a kid's show, you need to get your fucking emotions out of the equation and try to criticize said thing in a fashion that is as objective as possible. Nobody gives a fuck about your feelings in the real world and quite frankly, the world is an objective place for the most part and people view the objective truth in a highly subjective and biased manner to fit in their needs and agenda. alexsavov2, you need to grow up and realize that nobody gives a flying fucking SHIT about how bad that Pokemon or Spongebob episode was or how "triggering" Frozen is to you. Fucking grow the fuck up already kid.

Things that scar people: abuse, assault, rape, war, murder of loved ones, being stalked.
Things that scar enterbots: The Rugrats, ponies shouting at each other, hiding fetishes, editing their work.
I can't wrap my head around the idea that they feel comfortable saying that some shit that kids watch and giggle over left them permanently scarred. They're literally saying that kids are tougher and more mentally stable than them.

I've had a number of experiences one might consider traumatic. I had verbally abusive family members, yet Fluttershy yelling doesn't make me depressed. If you're triggered by ponies yelling at each other, you really need help.

Maybe you just have a thicker skin, or it hit too close to home for him. Not everyone handles these things the same. Again, I can't relate to depression or trauma, what episode did he say gave him a three-day depression? I can maybe look at a transcript or something to have a better idea of where he's coming from.

But are you sure he wasn't just exaggerating how bad it was?

Neither can I, because I've never had any traumatic experiences or anything like that. You have to look at it from the perspective of someone who HAS.
That's why "That's disturbing" its not a strong argument on criticism, because it is too subjective
while things like: "badly acted" or "cheap production" are, because they are objective

I just watched it, it's not bad, at all.

"Putting Your Hoof Down", he claims the scene where Fluttershy calls Pinkie and Rarity's jobs petty gave him depression in his top 10 worst MLP episode videos.

If your skin is so thin that a technicolor horse can depress you, you need help.

But, we're getting off-topic, let's see what Alex is up to, shall we?

The video starts out in almost the exact same way Animated Atrocities #2 did. I'm getting suspicious.

I hate his habit of explaining things that are plainly obvious.

So having his home destroyed by humans made the purple dog hate humans, Alexsavov? Wow, what a stretch! Glad you were there to spell it out for us.
