Also, old news, but Alex's skin looks fucked. I see a lot of disabled people get really into skincare, nails, hair, etc., I guess because it's good to have something about your body/appearance that you can control yourself when so much of your life is out of your hands. Alex seems to do the exact opposite. Even if she didn't have SMA, her health would be atrocious and it would be entirely her own doing.
