I have a Ninja. I thought it would be kinda shitty, because it was on infomercials, and it has a stupid name, but my first one lasted three years. It actually still worked fine, but the basket had caked on grease that was imposssible to clean off, because I had followed recipes that said to use cooking spray, and a new basket cost half as much as a new air fryer.

Second one, buy the disposable parchment liners, and you barely have to clean it. Great for any frozen things, fries, mozza sticks, chicken strips, etc. Also good for making shake and bake chicken or pork. Baked potatos for one or two, faster than an oven, and doesn't heat up the whole house.

One of the best kitchen purchases I've ever made, replaced my toaster oven for 90% of the things I used it for, and does it better/faster.

I used to think they were dumb until I got one. They’re actually really useful. You don’t even need a fancy one, the cheap ones work fine.

They heat up super fast and are much more convenient than an oven for most uses. At this point it almost seems silly to me to use a regular oven for something like cooking two servings of salmon and some roast potatoes.

They’re great at reheating food. I like to make a huge batch of empanadas, pre-fry them till they’re like 90% done and freeze them. When I want one, I just toss it into the air-fryer frozen. They’re done in like 10 minutes and taste as good as fresh.

A lot of you are talking about cook modes and other digital wank, just get one controlled with dials.

My microwave has settings for convection and air fry though, which is nice since its definitely easier to clean a microwave.

Air fryers are my way of life now. Just make sure you don't place it where the hot air exhaust from it can damage things. I've had my air fryer melt the top of a reusable water bottle I accidentally left behind it once, and also when I was putting it on the stove top it actually damaged the buttons/display on my stove over a long period of time because I'm retarded.

We got one basket style air fryer and one toaster oven style air fryer for Christmas a while back so I tried both. Ended up giving away the basket and keeping the toaster oven. I can't recommend the brand (Sur la Table) because the touchscreen is kind of glitchy. It's good for heating leftovers and cooking small portions of things like roasted vegetables or salmon when you don't want to heat up the house. Also good for bacon. I'll never be able to get it truly clean because I didn't know to line the interior until it was too late but I hear it doesn't have to be such a pain in the ass. Waiting for this one to go out so I can buy a better brand.

The last time I used my actual oven was to reheat pizza. Everything now either goes into the air fryer or slow cooker.

Me and my mom swear by Ninja products and have since they came out. Haven't used a bad one yet.

I just did something basic. Chicken tenders and curly fries. They taste so much better than from a microwave oven. Looking forward to trying more stuff with it.

Definitely better than a microwave.

As others have said, basically a mini oven.

The main advantage over a regular oven is they preheat a lot faster and can cook some things a bit faster.
