AI took er jerbs

I'm subscribed to a Youtube channel about economy. The latest episode about the job market for gen Z had me realize a coming trend that's not going to stop - Blaming AI for taking jobs. Especially at around 4:10 when some zoomer faggot talks about AI replacing him in the "demanding" task of doing vine videos and writing ebooks.

While there is absolutely some cases of AI being used for work rather than hiring people, it seems to be a full on cope mode of an issue that is mostly caused by offshoring, immigration and H-1B visas, that are considered wrongthink in the case of real jobs. And will have plenty of failed ecelebs crying about how AI is replacing them rather than them trying for years to get into an overcrowded market.

So what do you think? Have any funny cases of meltdowns blaming AI for no work?

IMO it's a scapegoat that anyone who wants to protect the system will gladly blame instead of blaming the system and their own incompetence in creating a good system. Not only offshoring and immigration but also the failing economic system that's directly caused by mismanagement by bankers and politicians. Late-stage capitalism which is a pyramid scheme that is full, the people at the top of the pyramid want it to stay together and not fall apart, which is why they use whatever means necessary to keep the money flowing, regardless of the long term consequences.

I really think A.I. (which isn't A.I. at all) is getting blamed as a politically motivated diversion from the plague of offshoring and outsourcing to slave wage workers in the 3rd world. A lot of the jobs people claim are being done by AI just make no sense and you can't even find proof of the use of AI.

I've seen some websites using ai lacking basic security features. I very much welcome the AI replaced jobs.

People have no knowledge to identify these issues let alone fix them. The future is gonna be fun!

I was gonna comment something different but my public sector literally uses usename1234 for arguably difficult to reach systems of no real big importance.

And said comment: I write mails to people who can barely read for a living. I've been tempted to use AI to fix commas etc, but seeing how both our text products and general email is full of typos from people who can't spell, I just can't be fucked. Maybe if it was a right-click thing inside Outlook. No idea what Copilot even is.
