I'd play around more but I'm running on a GTX 970M (basically the lowest GPU possible to run this) and it takes forever to run more trials/refinements. Thinking of following @Near and upgrading my hardware for this autism...

Really leaned into "light at the end of a dark semi-symmetric tunnel". I tried once more at a lower denoising setting (0.55 instead of 0.75, which makes the generations closer to the source image) and got this:


Surprisingly good as an AI-upscale-ificator with adjustable creativity sliders...

I've had this sort of thing happen occasionally. I've found that putting "oversaturated" as a negative prompt fixes this problem.
