Something I just found out (I might or might not have missed it in this thread). According to TV Tropes, under Creator's Apathy":
"On BlueSky, Sessler admitted to barely even watching the show he was on and said that the only reason he stayed on the show was because he needed the money to pay off his wife's medical bills while she was dying from a rare auto-immune disorder."
