Which means at the end of the day it came very, very close to breaking even for Sony. Too lazy to do the math, but the rule of thumb I've read is that the studio gets 50% of the US gross and 30% of the foreign gross, and that some figure should be added to the production budget for advertising and promotion, somewhere between 1/3 and 1/2. And this is with no consideration for DVDs or streaming, which will also benefit Sony on some level or other.
