Action Figure Thread- Collectors of Plastic Chinkshit - At least it’s not Funko Pops
Where Bandai critically fucked up was waiting til goddamn last year to do Gintama. They would've been the only brand with action figures and everyone would've bought em out in the show and manga's prime, but no, instead we got utter odds and ends like S-CRY-ED (not that I'm complaining about that per se) and other utter odds and ends instead of THE diamond level gem of its era.
Three figures for a new Deadpool and Wolverine wave, the first two based on concept that didn’t make the film. Kind of a neat concept, maybe they can roll it out to comics figures one day? I’m sure movie collectors will like these, that D&W line seems to do well.
Thunderbolts two-pack with Jewlia Louis-Dreyfus and the Void. Who cares.
“No Way Home”/Spider-Man 1 Green Goblin. This is almost tempting me to break on only getting comics figures.
They also showed a rerelease of the Final Swing Spider-Man, but I’m pretty sure that got announced already so I didn’t take pictures.
These next two are in Brand New Day packaging, but they’re comics figures.
First a first appearance 60s Scorpion (Amazon exclusive)
Same body as the previous Scorpion figure. Still pinned if that matters to you (it doesn’t to me, though I don’t much like the look of this costume.)
Then a classic Boomerang on the Sunfire (Walmart exclusive)
A rerelease of the Secret Wars Doom with slight redeco and accessories to make it more like the old 80s figure, on the retro card. Not really necessary if you have or want the one from the two pack.
Official reveal of Doc Samson, who got leaked earlier. Looks really nice IMO.
New Mutants Cypher, Target exclusive. Color matches with the new Magik. Really surprised they’ll evidently be releasing Cannonball separately instead of just throwing him in here as a head.
And finally, an X-Men 97 Beast. Very smooth, animated head, doesn’t work at all in a comics collection. Comes with a big removable backpack I didn’t get pictures of.
Two teases. Looks like maybe another mini comics wave with a Mary Jane figure, and… I think a Christmas Spider-Man might have gotten leaked?
Most of the new MLs are cool. The comic BND figures are a much better way of doing things then shitting out horribly inaccurate figures. They're on shelves for comic and casual fans with essentially an "iou" attached for MCU collectors.
While I hate DP3 and am exhausted by it, the Deadpool is cool, reminds me of the kind of shit you'd see if the film had an actual toyline. I can't believe they actually paid for Cavill's likeness for this
Gobby is a definate and probably my only purchase here, nothing else to say other than he'll go great with my Mafex Tobey.

Is anyone getting the Marvel Rivals line from Marvel Legends? I've only pre-ordered the Punisher and I'm hoping that Hasbro eventually releases Black Widow or Elsa Bloodstone in the future.
