If you don't want to pirate, I would echo the free version of Davinci Resolve - unless you need to color grade 10+bit video in exotic codecs (unlikely if you're asking this question), the free version will usually provide you with the tools you need.

Most importantly imo, using it will teach you to work in a piece of software that is widely used in the video editing field - meaning that if you ever come to a point where videography becomes a hobby you really want to get into, you can just adapt your existing workflow to more advanced footage instead of having to switch software.
