My direct experience up until i got jumped here by so many reactionary Canadians has been almost exclusively with native artists and educators and only one of them, Ferguson Plain, an Ojibwe Bear clan speaker, was Canadian. I can see clearly that the Canadian First Nations are way behind the Americans in terms of sovereignty over ancestral lands than the Americans and there is a lot more animosity between the native and white communities than here.
