@RedRocket69 presented. I'm not an expert like them, but it looks like the document you linked is for Julius S(imon) Wasserberg and the document they provided for you was JS's father, Simon Wasserberg. Using the father's first name as a son's middle name is fairly common, even now.
Even if Simon wasn't an orphan, so what? I think a lot of family legends get started/passed on for various reasons. As RR said, you can appreciate both while accepting facts. Also sorry if I misinterpreted this info RR, I don't have your credentials. Just going out on a limb for the sake of convo.
