A Beginner's Guide to Tumblrisms

Skeleton - Some asshole developed a script that wordfilters "SJW" into "Skeleton." This, suffice to say, has triggered fan favorite account KiwiBigJ terribly and has set back the course of Skeleton Justice by 50 years.
 
Between the ice and Deagle Nation I've been preoccupied, but I managed to get the first page of this thread incorporated into the OP. If you think something needs to be changed let me know, just keep in mind I trying to make a condensed list, not an encyclopedia. Anyone who wants details can read this thread. Thanks, Kiwis!

Well yea it's good to have a glossary of terms used by a community that doesn't follow normal logic or English terms that are given a different meaning by such communities.

If I have time later today I'll see if i can add it to the wiki.
 
Literally Shaking: the state a tumblrite is typically left in after being "triggered" or simply called on their bullshit. Typically caused by impotent rage, they often claim it's...

PTSD: a serious disorder, caused in non-tumblrites by such things as war, abuse, and other such trauma. Tumblr makes a mockery of it of course, being triggered by misgendering, manspreading, not censoring "problematic" words, etc. Seriously I've seen them use "ins*ne" so as not to trigger neuroatypicals.

Mayo: (slur) white, or perceived as white, or even a "PoC" who doesn't act as the tumblrite thinks they should.
"Fucking kill yourself you mayo shitlord!"

Manspreading: the act of a male on public transportation occupying more space than the tumblrina believes they should. Regardless of how many others are on board, unless you're completely unencumbered, pressed against the wall, with legs tightly crossed, you better believe you're a manspreader.

Cumskin: (slur) Racist slur word against white people. This was used as a reaction against the racist word "shit skin", which radical white supremacists used to describe non-whites.
This word then started falling in popularity, as Cum, being slang for semen, represented the seed that brings life. so it's less insulting then something like "shit skin".
 
Die Cis Scum- Once a popular phrase on Tumblr, it's since fallen out of use. The phrase was popularized by Tumblr user Char the Butcher, who tattooed the phrase on their arm, and with rumors about Char being a neo Nazi spreading (as well as the image of Char being used for mockery on 4chan and Reddit), sincere use of the phrase has fallen to the wayside, though "cis scum" is still used on its own. But while "die cis scum" is rarely used on its own, the sentiments behind the phrase remain, with transgender users expressing violent hatred towards even cisgender allies, and lecturing said allies when they become uncomfortable with these wishes for their deaths.

Ha, that cum talk just reminded me of these that have been showing up with MRAs and such.

Male Tears: (slang)
Semen. "Look at all these feminazis thirsty for jizz!" I'd never heard of cum being called male tears before.

Seems to be a response to all the obnoxious radfems and their male tears coffee mugs.

Feminist Fedora: those 50s looking cat-eye glasses the radfem crowd tends to sport. They love to point out the fedora-wearing MRA stereotype, but those glasses are truly the feminist equivalent.
 
Intersectionality (addition): Typically those who claim to be in support of this (mainly the "intersectional" feminists) often use this as an excuse to try and hijack anything that doesn't solely revolve around themselves using insane troll logic to try and make themselves the real center of the problem.
E.g. "See, men aren't attacked/told to kill themselves just for being short/liking girl things/having longer prison sentences/generally seen as totally expendible because (insert actual reasons here) It's because society hates women! So you just need feminism. Now where was I, oh yeah, KILL ALL MEN!"

Gaslighting: A particularly heinous method of emotional abuse that involves calling the victim's memory into question by the abuser. Generally the aim of this is to make the victim feel like they're going crazy, remember things wrong or otherwise question themselves. Can be done by questioning the target's memory, twisting and selectively omitting information to favour the abuser or outright lying.

On tumblr, this can mean things such as reprimanding someone (typically women of course, men can't be abused!) for being a psychotic cunt, insiting those fake "AND DEN EVERYONE STARTED CLAPPING" stories are false or pretending not to know what superwholock is (not even kidding)

Legbeard: Despite stereotyping pretty much all MRAs or anyone even remotely sympathetic towards men as desperate niceguys who of course really hate wymyn and feel entitled to sex, many, MANY a feminist will suddenly get very pissy when men don't give them attention (mainly "girlfags" and thin privilege types) Fittingly, "Legbeard" is a term often used to mock those feminists over displaying the exact same traits they project onto MRAs.

Girlfag: Ever meet those obnoxious douchebags that pester lesbians, try to "convert" them into someone who'll want to date them while still being gay and are more interested in treating them like toys or animals at the petting zoo than real human beings? Ever wonder what they'd be like if female, given an earth-shattering victim complex and backed by a supposed rights movement? You get Girlfags! Often claim transphobia at any gay man not interested in dating a women (see: all of them. That's why they're gay) Probably also the main origin of the term:

Gay misogyny: Obviously it's not entirely impossible for a gay man to hate women anymore than it is a straight man (and I mean actually hate, not tumblr's definition) this term tends to mean "gay men who don't want creepy fucking straight women barging their way into their sex lives, would rather straight women didn't obnoxiously flaunt themselves in spaces meant for gay people and gay men who turn down straight women for sex" see: pissing themselves over several gay bars banning bachelorette parties due to obnoxiousness, invasion of space, being creeps to the patrons and such.
 
Biotruth -- assertions about the differences between the two sexes, or between races, purportedly based on biology or evolution (especially the muddy field of evolutionary psychology). This term is always used in the dismissive, derisory sense, and indeed very often such statements are of dubious validity, being derived from faulty biological knowledge and ignore the importance of culture and social pressures. Please note: Biotruth only applies to statements that speaks in favor of males and/or white people; statements that commend women and/or minorities are, simply, "Truth".

It is not my job to educate you -- perhaps the most common statement you see on Social Justice blogs. This is an automatic response by SJWs when they are asked to check the validity of their claims, to provide evidence, or simply to clarify. The plain English translation is: I don't fucking know what I'm talking about!
 
Alright, so against my better judgement I want to start lurking on tumblr to see if I can witness this bullshit for myself. Do you guys search for things and start from there? Follow hashtags? Do you have to sign up or can you browse anonymously? Educate a guy who's attempting to dip his toes into this endless quagmire of shit.

Well, I signed up so I could follow blogs about fandoms I'm in, so that I could find cool fanfictions or fanart. If you start following enough blogs, you'll eventually start to notice this shit. Tumblr is a slow but sure descent into madness.

If you're not following anybody, you should look through tags. You can also track certain tags so you'll get a little notification when somebody posts something in it.

The "otherkin" tag should be a good place to start.

CT: Concern Troll. Initially a term meant to describe trolls that pose as concerned third parties or the like, the advent of Tumblr means that even the most innocuous disagreement can be called this on political sites. Beware.

Superwholock: The single most retarded fandom on Tumblr, making other notorious communities like My Little Pony, Meguca, Homestuck, and so on look fantastically normal in contrast. Originally intended to combine elements of Supernatural, Dr. Who, and Sherlock into one unified universe - hardly a bad thing - it quickly turned into a Pooh's Adventures-esque abomination.
 
Black Excellence: Once used to celebrate black leaders, inventors, and other such people of importance, it's since devolved into describing black people doing anything at all, including cosplaying, writing fanfiction, blogging, being part of a functional family, or graduating high school. The phrase has been abused into becoming a patronizing "gold star" attitude that infantilizes black people by suggesting that they're special if they do "normal people things".
 
Guydyke: the opposite of girlfag. Possibly just created for that purpose, haven't seen it used much. A guy that desires a relationship with a lesbian, or maybe a trans man who was lesbian before transitioning.

Neurodivergent: seems to be another way to say neuroatypical.

Also, if any of mine get added to the OP, feel free to reword or fix the definitions any way you like, as I'm sure I'm probably missing things.
