A friend and I talked about games from our childhood and Creatures 2 was brought up. Never played it and seeing the gameplay doesn’t make me want to, but the game’s environment is gorgeous. An adventure game in this style would be sooo great!

I think part of what made fnaf so visually striking is that Scott Cawthon is aesthetically trapped in the 90's.

There's a bunch more visually pleasing CGI music videos from the 90s era of MTV Chill Out Zone. There's too much to post, but they're easily searchable on youtube by looking at certain playlists.
 
Remember the 90's reboot of Johnny Quest?
They were capitalizing on VR being a fad at the time and had this whole subplot of Questworld, a VR Matrix-like simulation years before The Matrix came out.
I used to think it looked so fucking cool but.... yeah....
