I mean, maybe a little, but it's more because he is sick to death of his mother.
He, legitimately wants Cole to drop his life in New York, and come back down to East Bumblefuck, Virginia so Chris can go tool around Virginia, and harass women to be his heartsweet. No really, he tweeted Cole telling him to come "help" with his mother so "he could go find HIS sweetheart" (as if to say, you got yours, Cole! Now get over here and take my responsibilities, financial as well, so I can get mine!)
Chris doesn't really care that much about wounded pride, though his past videos would make you think differently. The proof of that is how quickly he would bounce back after a troll had finished having his way with him. Your "girlfriend" turned out to be a 13 year old boy that made you shove your crayola medallion up your ass? Chris is right back in the game, next day. Not gonna lie, if that were me, I'd be traumatized and would probably need months of professional therapy
What Chris does care about is not having his precious "freedom". To him, that means doing whatever he wants, without consideration of consequences. It's very clear he wants to be treated like a child, because EVERY time he has fucked up in the past, he always falls back on "but muh autism!" which means he wants people to treat him differently and give him a perpetual Get Out Jail Free Card, because he's such a special boy.
Thing is, let's think about this for a second. What if Cole, hypothetically, was a saint of a man, and DID come back and take care of everything for Chris? Call me jaded, but I don't think Chris would put in any extra effort in finding a sweetheart from the ground up. He would just still sit at home, playing with vidya and Legos, and instead of complaining about his mother, he'd complain about Cole pressuring him to get out there and meet some people
