About that Wojak edit screenshot, it made me realize that Wojak is probably one of the longest-lasting memes ever. Just when you think he's about to go out of fashion and die off, a new incarnation pops up and spreads all over the site again. I still remember in like 2012 or so when I knew him as "feels guy". Then around 2015 he got paired up with Pepe and they became a Tom & Jerry-esque duo. It went on like that until like 2016 or 2017 when Pepe mostly left 4chan to become a full-time Twitch meme and Wojak began mutating. First there was brainlet Wojack, then NPC Wojak, then Soyjak, then boomer/zoomer/doomer/coomer Wojak. There was also pink Wojak and Nujak which were both mostly /biz/ memes but I don't know where they fit into the timeline.

to be fair /tv/ is full of hardcore memelords always trying to push the next one, with the jannies trying to curbstomp it wherever possible, which by now could be just a vicious circle of countertrolling. anyone remember pestposting or #madatmort?

or they are simply trying to make memes real after it worked with a certain plane scene.

I somewhat believe this. I don't know if you keep up with the witches thread, but there was a woman who was stealing bones from the washed-out graves in the pauper's graveyard in her city and selling them discreetly online. She got arrested eventually because people turned her in, but there are people out there who will do this without feeling bad about it.

I fucking love Pokémon and browse 4chan all the time, but even I avoid /vp/ like the fucking plague. Easily the worst board, because it has one of the worst communities on the entire site.
