Fingers crossed this whole problem gets solved before important events happen because the funposting during birthdays and covers was funny to watch.
The outlook is pretty grim.
When the site comes back online, most jannies will bail, only the most dedicated power hungry fags will stay, and vultures will fast track replace those that left.

Altchans exist.
Deader than dead. Even the "national" imageboards that had a sizeable international community like Krautchan, Ylilauta etc died, had a billion offshoots that gets 2 posts weekly on average (not counting CP spam) or became shadows of their former selves. It's over. Imageboards have been a dying breed for years now and this was the final nail in the coffin. Good fucking riddance, I'm finally free.

/k/'s actual problem was the endless Ukraine war posting and the r/noncredibledefense refugees.
the concerntrolling over the Ukraine war is retarded. Nobody bitched about ISIS combat videos. Now we have a real war in Europe and for ~3 years fresh footage of both old and brand new classes of weapons being used on a daily basis? And we're not supposed to talk about it when there's new photos and video released every day? I guess /k/ is really only supposed to be for whining about ammo prices, wanking off soviet equipment (back when it was for poorfags instead of a reddit tier collectible where people are paying $75 for road pavement grade bakelite magazines) and asking what handgun caliber is best.
