Honestly, I don't see why they don't just update their server to a currently supported OS and server software. Then just throw vichan or whatever open source imageboard software on there. It's not hard. I could do it.

Vichan can't handle the traffic and they'd have to put in a lot of effort software wise to migrate every thread over and reach feature parity, not sure if it's still a mess inside but there's this funny video from hotwheels about the software being trash (which he laments because it's the most popular by miles)

Infact One Piece threads are almost exactly the same as the /dbs/ threads when there's a break in the manga, I remember when in 2023 a janny banned some anons that posted memes about Saturn and the Gorosei being depicted as happy merchants, and I've seen multiple anons getting banned with their posts deleted just for saying "nigger" in that fucking board.
