No admin around to tard wrangle the mods/jannies. They will either choose to be powertripping faggots or go completely AWOL.
It's a known fact that mods on /a/ usually just stay in whatever general thread for whatever anime they're into, mostly so they can powertrip over shit like shipping and character fagging. Even then the moderation wasn't as shit as it is now.

/m/'s moderation has also been terrible for a while now. The catalog is full of shitty template threads and even well known spammers spamming nonsensical bullshit.
/m/ moderation being shit comes down to the fact that it's one of the slower boards making it less of a priority to mod . It seems like that place has like one janny watching the place and most of the time he isn't there

I knew 4chan had a lolicon board way back in the day but I had no idea there was a shotacon board, a torrenting board and a guro board. 2004 was a different time.

/t/ is still around today. It's largely porn, but you can find some real hidden gems if you know where to look

Later on there was even a "board" called /rs/ that catalogued links to common filesharing sites at the time (rapidshare, megaupload, etc) added to it by users for easy searching. It was a crazy time.

Iirc don't most people just use /g/ for shit like that now?
No, /g/ is about tech and tech related discussions, although these days it's mostly pajeet/company hate threads and trannies with programming socks. /t/ is where you go if you want to share or look for interesting torrents. If you're looking for something in particular, there might be other boards or generals that might share links once in a while, but torrent or magnet links are mostly delegated to /t/ from my experience.

One of the major perks KF has over 4chan is Null bans all porn here so you don't have the insane amounts of coom brain retardation 4chan is infested with. Porn addiction is rampant on 4chan.
Porn ruined /b/, that's not even up for debate as the quality of the board dropped after the fappening. We got /soc/ not long after that and as all containment boards, it failed. /b/ is nothing more than edgy zoomers larping as oldfags and endless porn threads to this day.
I think hating porn is a perfectly viable choice considering the alternative leads you down the path of gooning

they no longer accept "it's a cell tower, sorry about the neighbors lol" as an excuse
;_;

The most ironic/sad thing about modern /b/ is it's the furthest thing from random on 4chan. It's incredibly predictable. Modern /b/ has about two dozen types of threads now: "Pics you weren't supposed to share" where people post nudes of exs and shit, YLYL, furry porn, dick rate threads, incredibly half baked political threads, really bad bait threads, kik hookup threads and then the rest is just more porn. You can open the catalog any time of day and find what I listed here.

There was also /rs/ for your filesharing needs, where everyone posted stuff to rapidshare, when it was a thing. I downloaded so much shit from there. It was basically where all the 0-day comics from /co/ went too, but those are allowed in the Win-O thread now, and have been for years.

edit: beaten like a nigger /t/ is still okay if you filter out the ten million porn threads.

just more porn.
And that's all of the rest of it. No amusing greentexts, no shocking content, nothing but all that cuck porn and other fed bullshit literally spewed out by AI and the government itself to ruin it. I have zero doubt the government is deliberately ruining any remotely independent fora and we're probably top on the list.

The entire content of /b/ is artificial at this point, and I blame gookmoot, he's the one who sold it, it's just to sucker the kind of idiot who, in 2023, seeks out what he was told is the edgiest content on the Internet, and then gets suckered into some troon discord to get trooned out by groomers.

Sadly, this is probably our fate too unless we fight vigorously against the Discord trannies.

The Halloween horror movie thread on /t/ is worth a stopover every year. This year was particularly neat cause the guy who is usually the OP created their own Halloween program simulating an entire day's worth of television Halloween programming.

You love to see little bits of 4chan culture still left on the site. I have to visit the board myself some more myself, there is plenty of great content that you don't even know you want until you see it, problem is that eventually you're going to have to buy a new hard drive or two to hoard all of it.

By the way, the first iteration of the /n/ board for train autists was set up by thatdog, the main software guy in the very early days of 4chan. After he and moot had a falling out, moot subsequently deleted /n/ and complained about thatdog in the news section like a complete bitch.

I never understood why moot out of all people became the admin when he completely relied on other people for the technical parts (thatdog, snacks, mrvacbob and so on).
