Fun fact: in the Muppet Christmas Carol, Michael Caine's method was just to act like he was completely alone and not surrounded by complete muppets. So he did it completely straight like a Shakespearean actor no matter what was going on around him. Also, like Raul Julia in his brilliant performance in the (unlike Muppet Christmas Carol) otherwise absolutely atrocious Street Fighter movie, Caine made the movie largely so his kids would have something to watch him in. (Julia of course was dying at the time.)

Maybe gookmoot just finally realized it was a retarded, shitty idea and never did anything but confuse and annoy people.
If I recall correctly, gookmoot decided at some point that he could attract advertisers by splitting off the blue (purportedly SFW) boards off to another domain and attract advertisers, and he made a few posts justifying this.
That never happened. In fact, the gook piece of shit started selling outright malicious malware ads and similar nonsense, so it was for a few months as bad as ED while run by the junkie.

The two domains probably fucked with site analytics, since the userbase was divided evenly between the two sites, resulting in lower rankings and impressions for both sites.
I don't think they got much out of the split domains anyway, since most of the ads have always been porn, Qanon schizo blogs, or shitcoin scams, none of whom care about advertising on NSFW sites. There's been Super Deepthroat 2 ads running constantly on /vg/ for the past few months, despite being a blue board.

He wasn't truly alone when he had Gonzo at his side. Also slightly OT Raul Julia was one of my favourite actors and a first crush as a young lady as Gomez Adams, ended up watching some of his older films and absolutely adored his work. Real fucking shame his last work was the street fighter movie (which i still love even if its cheesy and shit)
Also i swear the /V/ is turning into new /B/ without the porn attached if the jannies don't mop so much it might actually be good on occasion.

It really seems like there is a coordinated effort to drown out any interesting conversation on the entirety of 4chins.
For the time I was there, it seemed like more and more replies were barely related derails that seemed to aim to cause as much in-fighting as possible.
Not to mentionthe move to blocking tor and vpns.
I agree with Null here that you really can't have these anon boards anymore. You need accounts to keep track of brand new burner accounts and pink triangles.

It's hard to tell if there really are bots or attempts at killing anon culture, it might just be that the anons who visit the site now are that rock stupid or uninteresting. Remember, the site keeps getting more and more mainstream, every few years we have an influx of redditors or worse that flood the site and fail to embrace the culture. They force their culture on you or change it to suit them, turning 4chan into a safe-edgy social media platform with no profiles more or less.
Compare oldschool 4chan to one after the fappening, then after gamergate, then after the 2016 election, then after the fall of 8chan, all the way to now that the site is more or less ran by trannies in the clown world era. The entire site got worse and worse with every iteration and each time you had previous invaders, who now call themselves "oldfags" who will whine that "things just aren't the same anymore". I guarantee you that there is some election tourists out there who think that 2015-16 was peak 4chan and that the site has gone "cringe and bluepilled" since, you can't even say they aren't old timers since they would be part of the site for almost 10 years now if they started browsing back then.
While it is almost certain that feds or other bad actors are involved, we could also take an Occam's Razor to the whole affair and simply blame the users of the site for the state of things: Current posters for ruining one of the last intersting places on the internet, and the "oldfags" for being spineless cucks that didn't whip up the newer generation of anons the same way we were(I hope), and for letting bad actors ruin the site without a fight. There is a reason why soyjak.party almost universally mocks cuckchanners now.
All in all, the game was done once 8chan was shut down. That was the safe haven where you could find slightly higher quality of posts and less censorship if something was happening on 4chan, now that it's gone there really is no alternatives. You either go on 4chan or nowhere at all, as far as imageboards go.

It took me a long time to realize that, but the IB format is just bad and it should just die already, it is too easy for third parties to exploit it even more so in the age of chatGPT. And yeah, there is one or two posts that are interesting or funny, but it isn't really worth scavenging for those anymore. We are also entering an age where anons are just terminally porn sick giga coomer brainlets and it will just get worse from here. Maybe what the Internet needs is more forums like Kiwi Farms.

King shit of fuck mountain, basically. I can't even browse plebbit anymore on the odd occasion of it having the solution to some obscure issue in an ancient game because it tells me to download the fucking app or hits me with "whoa there, pardner!". 4chinz isn't much better since the mod/janny roster is filled fith groomers, trannies and furfags.
