No I'm pretty sure he didn't. If he had just set the videos to private and not allowed others to see them I'm like 99% sure that would've been fine.

He absolutely could have just made something private. Something doesn't necessarily infringe on someone copyright just because it exists. He could have done any number of things that didn't gut his viewer numbers and his placement in rankings. Were the copyright strikes kind a dick move, absolutely. Could YT have worked with him a bit, sure. However he is the only one who jumped the gun on a solution that didn't need to happen. It's like an arson setting fire to your building, and you jump out the window and want to sue the guy who those medical bills incurred.

i think you lose the views if you set a video private.

Just looked this up and it looks like yes, if you make it private the view count drops. If it's unlisted it doesn't (but that would still run afoul of YT's copyright system). It still stands though if he had made the videos private he could have then focused on solving the issue, and then getting those views back.

What I don't get is that he wasn't exactly like just coming out of his teens when he started this, someone must have taught him about finances.

Even I know not to have multiple credit cards on promo rates that accept just anybody and I'm a virgin with rage.

Selling the Patreon Palace in Washington and moving back to CT would, to him, be an admission that his detractors won. Its been spoken about many times before, but basically his WA house is his way of saying to the world "Look at me and how successful I am, fuck all of you I am better than you for having this house." That smug arrogance is why he's sunk so much of his money and identity as a person into the property.

His fragile little ego couldn't take it if he had to sell the place. He will willingly sink himself into more debt to basically prop up his ego and delusions of grandeur.

The most exceptional thing in the video for me was DSP admitting he makes his financial decisions based on 100% of what his channel earns. So he doesn't factor in drops or say "what would happen if I lost 30% of my income overnight".

Spending based on what you get as income from something like YouTube is one thing, but actually taking out loans and credit cards fully based on that income with no breathing room is insane.

alright well hello and welcome us to your video your private video and first of all it's not the first one you've qualified for I know that you've been a ongoing patron for quite some time so I want to say thank you very much for that before I even get started um and your video this time around is something very different right you don't really have a QA for me but would you like to do is to me to tell you the story of my fourth place placing evolution now I'm gonna be honest with you I don't even what you all said so long ago I'm I think I almost positive it was 2005 I know that's how bad you know it's been so long ago and how that's how out of the community I am that I don't really even give a shit about it anymore quite honestly but it was one hell of a time in my life where I was personally outside of competitive street fighter was in this time of weird transitioning all right so allow me to explain I had been with a job I graduated from college in 2004 all right right out of college I got a job it was called wells fargo financial it was supposed to be doing loans and credit cards and mortgages and that kind of stuff it was supposed to be like their financial division of the bank rather than going to the bank they had this specialized office that would handle it now me being a finance major I thought wow this will be right up my alley right I weren't there for about six months till I realized what it really was it was predatory lending it was a company that literally sought out people with terrible credit and did loans for them that were insanely bad like we're talking they have almost no equity in their house so we do 95% loan to value so they have no equity now no equity whatsoever in their house they put their credit cards into their mortgage next thing you know they're irresponsible so they rack up their credit cards again and now they can't even pay anything because they don't even own their home or anything nothing they have no equity whatsoever a lot of people who we did mortgages for had their homes foreclosed upon which was terrible and the only reason of the company stayed in business was because they kind of wedged in some good mortgages to every once in a while we get a good person with a good credit score and we would do a mortgage for them to kind of pretend like we weren't being predatory but the vast majority of mortgages and stuff that we did we're for people with low credit ratings we did terrible things for them arm so I did it for about six months and I had issue with my manager who not only was giving me some of the worst leads in the office but also was being very favorite istic to a few people there was this one young girl who he liked so he was giving her all the best leads in the office and I had issue with it and I went to the district manager the district manager I didn't know at the time was his mentor and basically reamed me saying how dare I suspect my manager for doing anything underhanded so after about two more months of that I basically told him to go fuck themselves and I was going to quit the job the problem was I had moved out of my parents place and was living in an apartment with two other people who also worked at wells fargo financial and i wasn't going to have any significant income now i was at a point in my life where I didn't know what I wanted to do because i was so disillusioned with what had happened at this job right that I didn't know if I wanted to go into another financial field if I wanted to do something completely different so I started going out all these job interviews and I had job interviews as my old job that I used to work at Circuit City and I had a job interview with best buy who was starting up this new business team and I had a job interview with like two or three other kind of mortgage style companies and basically did all this stuff it was all up in the air there was no certainty whatsoever what was going to happen to me and evo was coming up this was the summer when I actually got gotten out of the job in late june and i believe evo was in july of this year and I before I had gotten out of this wells fargo financial job had already bought tickets to go to evo i already had bought all the ticketing was arranged already the hotel was reserved the tickets were purchased well i didn't have any money to spend on this trip because i didn't have a job now i was out of the job for like a month so I was like I don't know what I'm gonna do I could cancel the trip but I'm not going to get any of my money back for the hotel or the tickets it's the tickets that most i could get a credit but being that I don't know if I'm even have a job kid what do i do right so on a whim and this is the worst possible thing anyone can do and i'll tell you right now don't do ever i went with my credit card my big ass credit card but back then they gave credit cards to everyone it's not like today where they're very selective who gets credit back then anyone got a giant credit card and I went to the bank and i did a cash advance on my credit card for like three thousand dollars who was that bad because i was paying like twenty-seven percent interest rate on it for like the next year but i digress i took out like a ton of money so i knew i could pay for the hotel i could pay for you know the entrance to the tournament i could pay for the food all week because in vegas food is not cheap i could pay for anything that I needed when I was out there all right and I flew out there to evo now here's the thing when I went to this evo I wasn't expecting to do well all right I wanted to do well but the two games that I had been playing primarily and doing well in were marvel vs capcom 2 this is a game that i had played at a pro level since the game had ever released in the late 90s was like to that DVI 1999-2000 when it came out and i've been playing it for four or five years i've been traveling the country i've been to tournaments like texas showdown and final round playing this game now I never was top level I'll admit that I was never a tournament winner in a major but on the East Coast I was probably considered maybe top 20 players when it came down to it there were like two or three really good players in Connecticut there was like five really good players in New York there were maybe like five good players in Florida and a bunch throughout the kind of that range and we were all kind of considered good players and we could all go you know add it and go at different placings at any tournament at any given day one of us could beat one of the others now admittedly I didn't have a great track record i would i would usually do really well and then choke at the last minute and like the big pivotal match i would lose really badly and that's what sucked about my career in marvel vs capcom 2 but i digress that was the game that i was primarily focusing on for that evo i really wanted to do well evo in marvel vs capcom 2 now I had been playing super street fighter two turbo in fact usually when I was at a tournament say at this arcade called 8 on the break in New Jersey this was the arcade where the East Coast Championships was held and they held while regionals and stuff whenever I went to a tournament for more vs capcom 2 i would also play in Super Turbo and recently I actually found myself placing highly in these tournaments like top five now I didn't even really play that game that much i only played at tournaments yeah i was learning the game on the fly was adapting and I was actually fighting flavors would played this game for like decades and I was I was beating them and it was pretty crazy how good I was doing a super street fighter two turbo a lot of people were actually called me like the prodigy I was this East Coast prodigy in that game that I was learning it was hilarious because you know at that point I was in my early to mid-20s and people had said well you need to be like 30 years old to be good at Super Turbo I was like the running Joe when I was 18 but you got to be like drinking age to be good at super Terry well then when I was drinking age well you got to be like your late twenties when I was late twenties all you got to be like in your 30s that's always the Joker never old enough to be good at Super Turbo but I was like the younger guy who was really good at the game so that was like the secondary game that I had wanted to play it evo all right so I got out to evo went by myself it wasn't the first time I had ever been an EVO was actually the third time because the first one I went to was called b5 that was the Nash kind of west coast national before evo ever existed then I went to the very first evo and then this was the next evo that I had ever gone to after that okay so we're talking you know there was a big gap between the previous evos and this evo that I had gone to and at this point surprisingly enough I didn't have any beef with anyone it wasn't like I was going out there and someone wanted to beat my ass I wanted to beat someone's ass it was a very amicable thing now the west coast and east coast hating each other back then it was like there was no respect if you went out there and you were East Coast here immediately the enemy of the west coast and vice versa East Coast always wanted to defeat the west coast so I knew when I went out there since I was not going with anyone else from Connecticut or anything like that i was going to kind of be by myself and have to be very confident and stick up for myself and kind of interject myself into the tournament scene because no one's gonna beast in a rootin for me or whatever alright so as far as soon as I got out there I started playing super turbo and I found that there was a cabinet a custom-built cabinet by this guy who was a known super turbo player from the Midwest named cigar Bob because he liked to smoke little blunts and cigars and stuff like that it was awesome he had taken the console version of Super Turbo as well as the arcade version so he had both versions and he had a hooked up to this custom cabinet where he had two TVs back to back you but keep in mind this was before the era of the LED lcds they were still big tube TVs who does this giant wooden thing he had built with he's built in joysticks right now this was cool here the American style stick but you could pop it out and put down a japanese-style stick so no matter what kind of joystick you liked you could play on his cabinet and it would work and it with the controls were great and we were playing super turbo the entire tournament basically I showed up a few days early and helped them set up and everything and the next thing you know I was helping at me i was playing super turbo like crazy casual against everyone i actually remember i went on a tear that evo in super turbo on cigar bob's cabinet before the tournament's had even started and someone recorded it and put it on the internet this was before YouTube and there was a video it was like me playing for like 45 minutes to two hours which I think was blanca and just going nonstop winning winning winning with Blanca and tearing everyone a new asshole because no one was as good as me really on besides the very tippity top players now here's the thing that the top players will not really admit to or really fess up to here's the deal there's never been a perfect port of super street fighter two turbo there have been versions of it on the PlayStation versions of it on the PlayStation 2 versions of it on modern consoles there's been versions of it for the arcade which is the perfect version because that's the one everyone holds up as that's the perfect one and then there's even that the emulated version on pc but no matter what version you play people all say there's differences from the original arcade version so none of them are true okay none of them are like the full-on version for whatever reason evo decided in that year 2005 i believe it was to use the playstation 1 version of super street fighter two turbo which was very inferior to the arcade version the sprites for the characters weren't even the right size like they weren't scaled properly in that version Balrog was actually smaller than he was in the actual arcade version and some characters were faster or had different properties I remember in that version for some reason chun-li was incredibly good like she hit you twice and dizzy you and people be like why is she dizzying so quickly this doesn't happen in the arcade version but that was the version they chose for evo that year alright so when i got to evo for the first two days before the tournament started I played hardcore on the cigar Bob homemade cabinet on that version of the game and we played it like crazy I mean I'm talking I would went down here in the morning started playing it didn't leave too at night so we're talk 12-plus hours of playing super street fighter two turbo like crazy right because I actually felt honestly I didn't need to practice and marvel vs capcom 2 that was the game I always played at home now was the opportunity for me to play games i didn't get immersion to at home so now is the time to play super turbo so and during that time period i got very much kind of friendly with a lot of the super turbo community that weren't the tip-top west coast players but basically everyone else and there were a few people in particular who I played a lot who I really enjoyed playing but there was kind of the hardcore group was me and cigar Bob and this kid named Dogface who's also from the Midwest who's very good at super street fighter two turbo and he was there and it was like two others there's like five of us were just playing constantly and then other people would join us and play the casuals or whatever all right so we basically did this for two straight freakin days now the controversy at evo was that they had chosen this particular console version of the game for the tournament and a lot of the top players were so angry because they wanted the arcade version evo said no this year it's an all console tournament we're not shipping in any more cabinets or whatever so you're not getting your arcade perfect version you either play this version on console or just don't come well a couple people didn't come like alex VA boycotted evo and said i'm not coming to evil this year then because i don't want to play a subpar version of the game older players such as John Choi Mike Watson Jason Wilson and a few others who were known top servo to pop top super turbo players in the country they came but they were grudgingly there they didn't want to play any casuals against anyone they were there just to dominate in the tournament and leave and they came with these joysticks that John Choi had this giant joystick alright i'm not a it looked like a fucking wooden podium it looked like he was standing at a podium like he was gonna give a speech and as he went to play the thing would wobble around it wasn't steady oh it was so funny so I'll tell you about that in a moment but anyway so for two straight days I practiced the living shit out of this version of super street fighter two turbo and I learned the nuances and the differences between this version and the one of the arcades I learned that showed me was overpowered that Vega was incredibly good in this one that Balrog actually wasn't as good in this version as he was in the real arcade version so I learned all these things while I was playing oh by the way a character that everyone loved to use old saga' it's the older version of Scott in this version of Super Turbo he did like extra damage but he also had less reach so I learned all these things while playing casual play so then finally it came time oh by the way and every night I would help cigar Bob and all those super turbo players move the cabinet to cigar Bob's hotel room and we would all play in his hotel room at night so I got even extra practice it's like a super tired and I went to sleep I didn't even a drink or anything this tournament like for me it was just I'm super serious you know I'm in Vegas I never left the hotel I stayed at the fucking hotel and just played Super Turbo the entire time and then finally the day of the tournament was there in first we had to qualify qualifying rounds and I remember in my bracket for the qualifying rounds there weren't many good people one person who was well known his name was Bob painter and I believe there was one other well-known player and I forget his name now so I kind of feel bad but there were two well-known super turbo players in my bracket who everyone was expecting to win and qualify from my bracket and go to the finals bracket which was going to take place top 32 was going to take place like on the final day of super turbo well i played through the bracket and i dominated against everyone okay and then i came up against the guy who was supposed to be all he's gonna place out of this bracket Bob painter and I beat his ass it wasn't even like wow was a close match i dominate I played with with um I played with a DJ and he plays a character the only character he ever played in Super Turbo was a Honda DJ beats a Honda like ninety-five percent of the time and I knew the match perfectly he didn't know who I was so he played me not only what was going on and I almost double perfect did the guy like he was like he was shell shocked when the match was over because he didn't know what the fuck had just happened someone we'd never heard of a destroyed him okay so i ended up going right to the finals bracket i was like number one in my bracket now while i was out there I started hanging out with other people from the east coast who I had met up with arm and I believe one of his name was Isaac gram and he was a marvel vs capcom two players so we had actually place a marvel two against each other and I'd play marvel two with them there was a team tournament at evo and I we actually had joined their team and we did pretty good we had won a couple matches into the team tournament which was kind of fun so I was actually very friendly with them and I was hanging out with them and it was funny because I had made it to the top 32 so we called it the qualifiers and we had gone to we were hanging out with each other and three out of the four of us had all qualified to be in a finish of some tournament I cick was in marvel vs capcom 2 i was in super turbo and someone else had been in CVS to capcom vs SNK 2 and we all were joking where the qualifiers we're going to a qualifiers breakfast you know who go have a breakfast together like we were be the Heidi 20 people of the East Coast who were all qualified for the tournament you know what I mean I remember there was one person in the group who hadn't qualified for anything we were like we're going to qualifiers breakfast you just got to stay in the hotel room and the guy's face went and we were like we're just kidding calm down he's like oh you guys got me I thought you were serious i thought you were really me up here and only qualifiers go to breakfast with you were like yeah like we're really like that so anyway I was hanging out with them and they actually were like really strongly supporting me because they've been hanging out with me whenever I wasn't playing super turbo I was hanging out with these guys um and so I remember then it became the the top bracket day top 32 and with the go Wilson air went down to a top eight and the top eight would be on finals day and I basically went through the fucking gauntlet of top super turbo players that day including Jason Wilson who's the top a Midwest player one of the longest playing players of street fighter ever and who actually helped design Mortal Kombat ok John Choi who's one of the best overall original og players in the country and by the way he was playing on his giant fucking wobbly ash joystick ok and he couldn't get it to her as he was trying to play on this joystick and do like I would jump at him and he had old cigar he tried to do a tiger uppercut and it wouldn't come out cuz joystick would wobble and he wouldn't get it so I actually beat his ass ok I beat his ass um Mike Watson Mike Watson who was known for being like one of the best ball rugs in the country I completely dominated him with d J like beat him badly and it wasn't close it was just like win-win-win and so people are watching this tournament under light so the people who everyone knows who were good at Super Turbo are all getting eliminated one by one by one and when actually finally came down to it the ending was like me and cigar Bob all this player named nki from the Midwest was incredibly good Sean Lee remember I told you Chumlee is really good in this version is super turbo she Dizzy's after like two or three hits so she's dominating people left and right and a few others arm and basically it came down to top eight were three Japanese players alright and five Americans but the way that the brackets were split up was that the Americans actually ended up eliminating themselves or being eliminated by the Japanese before they got to the final so like John Choi ended up getting eliminated and someone else ended up getting eliminated so top you know the battle for the top of this entire tournament okay ended up being me against NK I alright the winner of that advanced to fight tokito and the winner of that would move on to face the like the top two and that would be the toilet like that was the tournament so I had only lost once in the entire tournament the person I had lost his name was booked to he's from the south from Texas area he's an Asian kid and he's actually just like me he's kinda like an upstart he never was like hardcore into super turbo but he started playing a lot of that evo and he did really well but he had lost he had been eliminated before I had been eliminated so I was in the finals and he wasn't so I ended up at like sudden death I had to win every match in the finals to advance so I don't even remember who I fought first match but I beat his ass I know whoever it was the room was like this is an online player or something and you know he's really good and I beat him I destroyed him absolutely destroyed the kid and he was flabbergasted he couldn't believe that I beat him so badly I never heard of them on the next fight was against NK I and this was a close back and forth fucking fight I played Vega he played chun-li and it came down to the wire but then I beat him and it was hilarious because as I'm playing the people who had been hanging out with playing marvel to like Isaac Graham and those other kids two qualifiers we're cheering for me they were the only ones the entire audience cheering for me everyone else was just like quiet deadly silent that I was beating everyone at this tournament they couldn't didn't want to hear about it but I was out playing everyone with strategies and Antioch you know footsies an tires like just perfectly plagues I had played this version of super turbo for like two to three days hardcore and learned all the nuances and was ready for the tournament while all the other top super turbo players either complained about the game non-stop and didn't even enter the tournament were they entered and I didn't practice on this version and they got completely destroyed and thrown out of the tournament during the qualifying rounds so his me against and ki close fight I end up beating and ki went down to the wire I had to play tokito and went down to like the final match he beat me and that was it so I was the top placing American that year it was actually three japanese players above me and then I was right under there so I was fourth place well I was the top placing American in super street fighter two turbo that year so technically I was the best ranked super street fighter two turbo player that year but no one wanted to acknowledge it as soon as immediately after the tournament ended I should you not it was like write this off it doesn't count even though it'll be on paper that he qualified or that he beat this guy in that guy and then on paper he made to the finals and he's the highest ranked American doesn't count because that was a bad version of super turbo and we're just gonna wipe that dirty taste out of our mouth in fact it was so bad Alex valet who didn't even participate in the tournament shows up at evo at night oh well since that tournament didn't count now we'll have the real tournament and what they did is they converted cigar Bob's cabinet from the console version of Super Turbo to the arcade version of super terrible and we all played that night in the hotel room okay now here's the thing the young players like knee like cigar Bob like other people who've been playing this game hardcore we've been playing on the console version of the game we've been playing at hardcore for three days we were exhausted but the og's right the original Super Turbo players wanted us all you guys did so well in the tournament huh you got to play us now because we're going to show you where the real top level players in super street fighter two turbo and you're not right I was like well how does that make sense we played for three days we're exhausted the tournament's over we want a rest but I you demand we play you by the way we're not playing a different version we're not playing the console version that was at we're going to play the arcade version which is different right different nuances and changes which we haven't played for three days but this is what they demanded so we had this tournament like midnight tournament and alex VA won the tour in a man i think john choi got second or something like that was between them in the finals didn't matter wasn't for money or anything it was just a bragging rights torna me and so it's kind of an unwritten law or word that that year even though I was the highest-ranked American player it didn't matter didn't cow in the real super street fighter two turbo tournament it was John Choi and Alex vaya who are at the top and everyone else know it's bullshit what it is is they're so fucking egotistical and cocky these West Coast super turbo players they can't accept a loss or defeat and they were so angry that they had to play a different version of the game that year that they purposely didn't practice right so we'll be there excuse if they lost which they were going to fucking lose anyway because they probably hadn't been playing that version of the game and we're going to get bodied by people who had was that while our excuses we don't like this version of the game but we'll play the real version afterward sorry I certainly I was not in top tournament form you know I've been playing non-stop absolutely non-stop for three days I was tired as fuck but they demanded my presence at this tournament because I had been the top American placer and they didn't even want to talk to me they just wanted to beat me in this getting this game it was despicable basically it was like very disrespectful the only West Coast player who really gave me respect that year was Jason Cole and that's why I still respect him to this day I only talked to any of those guys but Jason Cole was very respectful even said you know you were that you played the game that was picked you practice like crazy for three days you played your game you did incredibly well and I respect you for that regardless of the fact everyone else wants to be a disrespectful dick to you like you did awesome and you deserve some credit and respect for that and he's one of the very few West Coast players if you talked to him he'll tell you I was I'm good player others I he's a flash in the pan he's lucky even though since since here's the thing since I basically got completely written off in 2005 and I was angry about time like I busted my ass attivo give fourth place you're gonna tell me I'm no good at super turbo cuz that's what happened collectively everyone's like you suck I said all right I'll prove you wrong in 2006 they picked super street fighter two turbo anniversary edition this was the version of the game where you have all the old school all characters in it all right all the old versions so I won the East Coast qualifier for the fucking game dominate it didn't even lose once undefeated BTW and when the entire thing is super easily okay um and then when I went to evo they put me a purpose Lee they put me against alex VA and fucking tokito the two top-ranked players over that game they were actually the players who had won the most of that game in the entire country they gave me them as my first two fucking matches I'm not kidding like I didn't play any swabs or anything they were my first two matches because they wanted me out of the tournament as soon as possible so they could say that I was a fluke that year before so 2006 I played my heart out i won my own qualifier on the East Coast then I go to the west coast I get screwed by terrible brackets and was out of the tournament like super quick so then 2007 I said fuck you i'm still gonna prove myself now I'm really gonna prove myself cuz now you wrote me off of 2005 you screwed me in 2006 now I'm gonna prove Human 2007 then I'm no flash in the pan if I could do well three years in a row there's no way that you could talk shit about me and tell me that I'm no good right so in 2007 I won the East Coast qualifier I was a top player in the Midwest qualifier I was a top player in the southern qualifier I was a top five placer on the west coast qualifier I entered every qualifier and I didn't have to after I won the East Coast one I already was in the finals at Eva but I said fuck you I'm gonna go to every tournament in every region and prove to you that I can qualify every tournament i enter and i did at that year i did in their face up their ass I proved to all of them that I was good enough to be recognized as a top super turbo player at the finals the actual finals at a tivo they actually had me play against the guy who I had trained with the entire time and Eve I'm not even kidding using Graham wolf I had met him at the West Coast qualifier we had practiced together there and then an EVO we played together for like a day and he was my first round match and I'm like they did it again what they did they asked around they said gee who's full been playing with again so that this person would know his game plan and be able to get him out wait Oh Graham wolf Phil versus Graham wolf first round they did it on purpose every time I enter an EVO tournament they do this I'm not lying they purposely fuck me they've done it for years out and they fucked me over at b5 before it was called evo they entered me in it gets the person from Connecticut who I flew in with well you two will eliminate each other off so there's only one person from Connecticut in the top of the of the of this game they've done every year like every year and I always bring it up and everyone else fuck you your East Coast you're Phil no one cares about you so that you know and I get brushed under the rug this is why I like people don't you want to go back to evo why they'll probably put me against some top player first round right uh you know I'll get cool totally blown out what's the fucking point I know it's gonna happen it happens every time I go so in 2007 after three years of top performance right and showing it all tournament results that I was the tops through troopers or play super duper player in the country the undisputable I was respected all across the East Coast for sure they knew I was like the top super turbo player on the East Coast and on the west coast finally people were starting to wise up I retired and I said I had enough I spent too much time and effort now for three fucking years straight on Super Turbo and that's when I kind of retired from that I had my back injury so I had to stop driving to tournaments anyway and that's what I kind of started working on console games and eventually you know 2008 I did you two so that's kind of the history of the Super Turbo story um and a lot of people don't know that they don't know that behind-the-scenes story that I was a loner and I didn't have a lot of support and I blew them out three years in a fucking row and yet they still to this day they'll say that I suck and I only wanted subpar versions of the game even though those were the versions picked for evo I wasn't picking the version of the game for fucking evo if you vote would pick the arcade version every year I would have played in the arcade version every year but this was their excuse well every year evil uses a different version of Super Turbo Phil still does well so that means he sucks no it means that I adapt to whatever I need to play at a tournament level while the old-school super turbo players couldn't they couldn't they were so ingrained in their ways of playing the arcade version they could not adapt to a new version while every year I was adapting and still fucking winning despite all the changes to the game in the gameplay being a different version of Super Turbo that was played at evo every year but they don't respect they then will respect that I to this day the day those West Coast players disrespect the fuck out of me I like what did I ever do you know and hilarious and here's why I say it's hilarious because these people who disrespected me right they won't they don't want to give me any credit or nothing when I started on YouTube and I became super popular on YouTube we're talking around 20 2009-2010 I went to a few street fighter tournament select ones this was when marvel vs capcom 3 was new and all of that and then after a while I just got tired of it and I stopped going right but when it was new and high I was hot on youtube I was big on a big following I was bigger than any Street Fighter player on youtube at the time um I started going to these tournaments all of a sudden the players they're coming up to me I remember this one alex VA was on commentary for this tournament he was one of the main guys on commentary all weekend Phil oh dears p Phil come on over and I was like am busy I don't feel like it oh come on over man oh come to come whenever you want comment here you come on over you do commentary with us ok whatever you say Alex I never went over there cuz the guys fucking disrespected me a ton of times yeah I'm supposed to be respectful to him now now all of a sudden cuz I'm big on YouTube right now he wants me to come do commentary like I'm some respectable person and people wanting here that's what they're to faith they're completely two-faced people they really are and the West Coasters the top players on the west coast a lot of times always been like that they're in inclusive community they do whatever they can to make themselves when they cheat they rig brackets I've seen a million times all right and you know I'm not going to talk about this publicly anymore you usually notice I don't talk about this stuff heavily on youtube or whatever because what's the point like I have no power over it right I don't go to tournaments anymore I don't care enough to play hardcore to go to Tory wincing care about this shit but that's how it was it always was like that and i'm sure it's delight how should still fucking thought I still fucked up there so fucked up stuff that's going on whenever long as those people who run evo we're still in power of the Nationals that shit will always happen and I'm one hundred percent over that impression I don't even care you know shoe fighter four might have changed stuff I don't buy it I don't buy it I think it's the same shit and I know if I went to evo I'd be treated like dirt no one would respect me did fucking put me in shitty matchups right away you know make excuses and I'm just tired of it you know that's why if I was ever going to go to evo it'll be on my own fucking term and it's not going to be for like some crazy shit they ever have like a super turbo final tournament ever maybe I'll show up but I see absolutely no reason to go you know for a group of players who for the most part for three years running i dominated that seem and they will not respect me for it or give me any kind of credit besides Jason Cole on the west coast him Jason Cole and Graham wolf are the two players who actually respect me who were West Coasters everyone else just hates my guts for no reason is because I'm an East Coast it's so stupid and of course on west coast now that's the other thing I'm West Coast if I were to win I'll be representing the west coast but they won't care so that's the story of evo 2005 and subsequent least six and seven and how it all came to pass so I certainly hope you enjoyed the video it's now been about half an hour to tell the whole story but I do appreciate your The most exceptional thing in the video for me was DSP admitting he makes his financial decisions based on 100% of what his channel earns. So he doesn't factor in drops or say "what would happen if I lost 30% of my income overnight".

Spending based on what you get as income from something like YouTube is one thing, but actually taking out loans and credit cards fully based on that income with no breathing room is insane.

For sure Phil's current position, which isn't that bad anyways is his fault. The way he rushed his move and didn't sell his Condo because he wanted to get out of CT ASAP, the way there's no plan B, how he spent lavishly, how he took out a ton of credit cards to maintain a lifestyle he couldn't afford and taking out those credit cards by choice and not because he has to, how he didn't save any money at all. How he won't sell his CT Condo because he's too lazy and he can't find a company to sell it for him, how he won't sell his current house because he'll have no "office"

He's had tons of ways out, he just doesn't take them because living a decent life isn't good enough for him, he can't be smug and show off in an apartment, he wants this big ass fancy house that's too big for him.
