Look I know that these types of academic definitions of gender are prevalent, but they sort of fly in the face of common sense.

If it looks and acts like a woman, it is woman-enough, for most intents and purposes. Except you don't have a vagina-hole. But that information is largely irrelevant, to 999/1000 people.

If it looks and acts like a dude, it is a dude. I suppose you can have a vagina and pass as a man, given that nobody really gives a damn.

But male and female are basically functional categories. If any dude can embrace their sensitive side and say that makes them womanly, we are also falling into archaic binaries. Same with biological females who work as mechanics, rather than interior decorators. Does that make them masculine, and turn them into men?

I am just saying that if anybody can feel like the opposite gender, for any reason, and demand that we alter the English language, to call a he a she, or a she a he, what do /he/ and /she/ and /male/ and /female/ even mean?
