theres no reason for phil to be that worried about talking about leeana if he still doesn't have contact with her. do you keep quiet about someone you know can't hear you? phil is so willing to talk so brazenly about people who CAN hear him its confusing that he'd decide to remain silent on someone who has removed them self completely from the internet

He's not worried, he's hurt. There's a reason so many trolls resort to Leanna references to get under his skin/try to get videos with her into the retrospective. IIRC, he has spoken about Leanna very sparingly shortly after the breakup. I think he was trying to frame the breakup as actually being good for him because he'd be spending less money, or implying Leanna was bad with finances. I believe he also did the same thing with Rambo back in the day where he avoided referencing him at all. While not exactly the same thing, for a long time he also denied jerking off on camera. I think it's because he had just enough self awareness to realize it was a situation where not even he could use enough mental gymnastics to make himself look good, so he tried to insist it didn't happen at all and was just scratching his leg. I think with Leanna, there's not really anything he can say about the relationship that doesn't make him look bad. I think there's also an argument to make that he never really got over Leanna either. He used Kat as a bandaid, sure, but that doesn't mean he still doesn't have feelings for Leanna. He could have avoided saying anything bad solely for that reason.

I'd also argue Phil is a gigantic pussy and he normally doesn't talk brazenly about people unless he's in control of the narrative. He likes to be as vague as possible, unless he's referring to someone big enough to be a "safe" target or someone he knows doesn't care about him in the slightest, like PewDiePie or Ninja. Even in his chat, he tends to ban the person before calling them a moron. The only place he tends to be even slightly bold is Twitter, but even then I bet he blocks the majority of the people he tweets at after calling them immature children.

All that being said, I wouldn't be surprised if one day Phil does start talking shit about Leanna, but I'm thinking pretty far in the future, possibly even several years. If he does, I'm sure it'll be full of retcons and him trying to make it sound like Leanna was the one making all these poor decisions, not Phil, and how he was trying to be the good supportive boyfriend.

He already has tried to retcon the Leanna situation multiple times basically putting the onus on her for not being happy and being an ungrateful bitch despite all the Big Boyfriend things Phil did for her.

Piggy had his heart broken and it was never mended. He will never get over the Leanna situation because he replaced one truffle pig for another as soon as possible.

This is what makes me think Leanna is not only monitoring Phil (which would be extremely easy in her case because if he talked real shit about her about ten thousand detractor videos would go up fucking immediately) but that she has real dirt on him. Even someone of Phil's low wattage knows that the people who lived with you know most about the dumb shit you've done, and there's no question Leanna knows that we spergs would climb over one another to hear about all the stuff we don't yet know about Phil.

I don't think she'd care if he talked shit about her though. He barely has any audience and it isn't like Leanna ever really interacted with Phil's chat on any meaningful level. She of all people knows how boring Phil is. I'm sure that's part of why she left him. She's not going to want to stay part of his life and consistently monitor him on the off chance he badmouths her to some blind guy, dead wife dude and a kingdom hearts sperg.

I don't think it is anything complex or nefarious, I think she just wants nothing to do with the goutsphere. Keep in mind, the detractor side wasn't exactly kind towards Leanna over the years. I don't think it is at all surprising that she doesn't want to come into a community that spent years shitposting about her just so she can get swarmed with questions. Hell, some people still dump on her. Don't get me wrong, it would be absolutely fantastic for us if Leanna came here and I absolutely wish she'd drop some gold on here, but she is making the right move by leaving the goutsphere behind entirely. I should also note I'm not trying to white knight Leanna or anything. She gets credit for doing the smart thing now and I'd argue she is "better" than Kat since she at least seemed to have a real relationship with Phil, but she was pretty far from flawless.
