Given that circumstances, I would be fine if the closure was Chris put in a home anyway, at least now he'd be in a better place.

It probably depends on the home. The best ending is definitely the "Chris grows up" one, though, as unrealistic as it may be.

It seems like he simultaneously brags about his duck while hating on men, and all their parts, and talking about how true his lesbian soul is no matter who he is talking to without ever realizing the blatant contradiction, or the insanity of the statement for that matter. All the more evidence that he's still just in it for sex with the equipment he was born with.

Given how he seems to think he can easily ruse people, I can only imagine how well he thinks this entire scheme is going. Open taints included.

The "knife" theory could be partially true. It is a sensitive area, and the taint piercing was a recent, and perhaps not 100% healed injury. Suppose he thinks he can grow a vagina, so he pokes and prods at it. It is right in the undercarriage, so even looking at it could involve some serious prodding if he wasn't super careful. This makes the wound appear, confirming his vagina beliefs. So he pokes and prods some more, maybe with some sort of instrument, because he is excited about it. That makes the wound grow, and he gets more excited, creating a vicious circle.

The self-harm theory doesn't need to involve him taking a knife to his crotch and carving away. The combination of his voodoo beliefs, the general sensitivity of the area, a pre-existing wound, questionable hygiene, and general clumsiness and cluelessness could lead him to accidentally self harm.

It is probably less dangerous, because he is less likely to accidentally maim or kill himself with one mistimed slice, but it is also probably harder to get him to stop.

Any such child would become a ward of the state, presumably. They'd have a decent shot at being normal provided they never found out their birth father's identity and tried to Google him.
But then again, it probably wouldn't come to that. I think even exceptional individuals have standards.

I doubt even mentally handicapped girls would want to fuck Chris.
