Well it seems like one of two things has happened.

Either he noticed that everyone, including people he trusts, was worried about it, and he went to get medical attention. Based on @Marvin's faith in this, it seems like the most likely outcome. It doesn't necessarily mean the wound was fully de-vaginaed in his mind. He probably at least views it in the same way he viewed version 1, by fantasizing about its passing resemblence to female genitalia. And he may well hold out a lot of hope that this really is a vagina, and the doctor is just supervising the process of it growing.

The other possibility is that he still believes it is a vagina and isn't allowing doctors to interfere, but he has realized if he wants to keep the charade up he has to lie consistently and pretend he is getting medical care. It is a moderately remote possibility, because it requires Chris to be simultaneously dumber and smarter than he usually is. But it is a worrying thought.
 
The major problem is that since nobody has ever grown a spontaneous vagina before we're left with a situation where Chris can set the rules in his mind. So he can tell himself, "Yes, there will be pain as my new labia split. Of course there will be blood and discharge; it's currently transforming from a wound into a real set of labia/vagina. The hole will lengthen over time so it's natural for it to get larger. Oh, and any pain I'm feeling inside my pelvic region is just the discomfort of my ovaries and uterus growing in. No one is going to understand that since I'm the FIRST to do this successfully."

Whatever he makes up will become fact and truth in his mind.

Oh god, it makes too much sense. There's no precedent, therefore he must be the first to carve out that path as a brave new womyn.

He's aware of that. The paparazzi comment would make little sense if he wasn't. Hell, he was probably hoping that someone else would let the media know.

In all seriousness however, I really don't know what to say about this. On the one hand, Chris kinda deserved it because it's his fault for even wanting a taint to begin with (because with or without, he's still pretty man-ish). On the other, I feel sorry that he's going through this because that means he could die at any moment, and we'll never know unless someone from the inside can tell us.

Regardless, I doubt he's going to do anything about it aside from bring it up and maybe boast or complain about it. Considering his and Barb's past records of health and getting assistance for him or his family.
 
So Chris could die the same way he lived, neglecting his health and hygiene and blaming the trolls. Would be fitting but hopefully he gets this shit taken care of.

I feel extremely sorry for him, he's like an 8 year old that has the rights of a full adult. The pain and suffering he's going to endure is a direct result of literally every authority figure around him failing repeatedly.

Jenner unofficially patented "Soul of a Woman"
Chandler wanted to officially patent "The Tainted Taint (™)" He drew up his own official copyrights and everything. I still cannot understand that he thought this was his ticket to fame, magazines, and hot lesbian sex. I do not believe even the dirtiest of networks or magazines would run that trainwreck.

Well, in Chris' mind, aside from the obvious fame, glory and riches; Chris could have thought that his magic fat couch would lead to toon world, and birth cartoon Crystal into this dimension along with the entire Sonichu franchise. Chris was preparing to not only be the first man to grow a true and honest vagina, but also the first man to become an interdimensional version of Octomom. He did not want some vagina created by cosmetic surgeons, he wanted a true and honest magical vagina.

And that's the thing, Chris was never taught the whole "Magic doesn't really exist" part of growing up. And while I love to blame Barb for that, it is partially his own fault for thinking those things.

It's a damn shame he's got to live with this consequence now, but he could have prevented it too by not becoming a "tomgirl" in the first place.

I know it all seems a bit foolish, but I remember "man gives birth" stories getting a lot of attention a few years back when a tran.sman had a baby (not really exceptional given that tran.smen are biological women).

I suspect that to the extent Chris consumes mainstream media, he consumes the kind of media which runs those types of stories and anticipates that anything even suggestive of "miracle" would bring him fame and fortune rather than ridicule and a psych evaluation. And Chris certainly believes he deserves fame and fortune, even if he would be totally unable to deal with it and make Garbo look like a social butterfly.
 
I know Chris believes in New Age bullshit magical thinking. It's a shame no one's told him that even magical thinking obeys universal natural laws. You can't regrow a missing limb, no matter how much you believe it or what you listen to, and you can't grow a vag through thought alone.

I think the whole tomgirl lunacy was either an overboard reaction to Jackie's advice "get in touch with your feminine side" or like Clyde Cash predicted, it was a latent desire within him. But it may have been avoidable, but honestly I have a hunch that his autism would lead to something catastrophic regardless of him being a tomgirl or not. I would be thinking of he isn't a tomgirl, he would suffer some accident that leads to him pinned under clutter or if he stupidly used a damaged cord, he may start another fire and barbs hoard might trap them both.
 
Wow this could actually kill or seriously fuck up Chris. There is no Catie around to save his ass this time. This may be the end......or a long stay in the hospital.

"Body horror" was a relatively new concept in the early 80s with movies like The Fly and The Thing and writing from so-called "Splatterpunk" authors.

What Chris is going through is super similar in a lot of ways; perhaps too fine a point but his self-assurance that he's growing a vagina is similar to Seth Brundle's initial transformation into something "better" than human before he became a steaming pus-filled fly monster.
