I believe you can still order an eSIM from a country like France (which you can download anywhere in the world) and roam in the UK at no charge. Worked for me in the EU not too long ago when I was in a country that had an annoying verification requirement which I was completely prepared to comply with but the telecom worker couldn’t resolve for me in a reasonable timeframe.

No. it can not. You simply cannot revoke the citizenship of tens of millions of people, many of them already second or third generation citizens. It is simply out of the realm of political possibility and placed firmly within daydreaming. Especially in a country that is struggling to deport a few hundred violent, illegal non-citizens a year to begin with. Any political movement trying to implement it would just receive the same treatment as the government of Rhodesia did and get collapsed from immense international pressure. Just imagine what sort of constant media bombardment they could run. That is assuming a party could get even near power to propose it, which is highly unlikely to begin with.

This is part of why demographics is destiny. You simply cannot change it without Stalin tier tools. You cannot remove the diarrhea from the soup. Your entire objection is "moralising".

What the fuck is that even supposed to mean. You have no idea how politics or anything work or why your daydreaming ideas are impossible, then you start rambling on about how its a "moral imperative". Wishing things to be true does not actually make them true, no matter how nice it would be. You have to deal with reality, the facts at hand no matter how bleak they are. In fact, refusing to do so for decades is what got western countries into such a bind. The constant desire for things to be nice and pretty and moral and easily resolvable with a nice discussion or a VOOOOOTE or worst case a law change that would magically resole everything. A culture of wishful thinking and not wanting to see how bad things really are, which surprise, did not resolve the bad things and made them even worse, perhaps fatal now.

You can easily check that the UK removes a few dozen citizenship each year, sometimes as little as double digits and those are from violent criminals and egregious fraud cases and even those are rarely getting deported and this practice is already facing pushback, It is simply impossible to revoke the citizenship of even the past few year's arrivals en masse, much less the second and third generation immigrants. There is no legal mechanism or political support for it. This is just as much wishful thinking as wishing them to all teleport out of Britain or for Ipswich Town to win the Premier League.
