so you're telling me trump just:
  • overtly admitted to violating the war powers act by not telling congress under the guide of "secrecy" (though, I will grant that the argument that the notification to congress the USA may do it may be good enough justification just for sake of argument)
  • basically declared that he's going to prop up a provisional government ran by the executive branch without a proper declaration of war (this will be a overt violation of the war powers act if occupation is going to last far longer than 60 days)
  • all while collaborating with the illegitimate vice president appointed by the former dictator instead of the government that was elected: the former legitimate government trump's administration recognizes
  • all so the USA can get involved with the oil there to the benefit of American oil companies, of which money will may not being going to the Venezuelan people as no plan was announced for how that'd work
  • and the USA will be taking proceeds of this oil for itself to "reimburse" itself and other "victims", which the victims are not directly named

Hollywood Hulk Hogan was right just impeach this orange war-mongering pedophile atp 🥀, the strikes and arrest were fine because that tin-pot was straight cancer to the American public but the USA really just used it as an excuse to get us into "We got Afghanistan at home". All I can hope for is that the narco state being replaced by an American puppet regime will be more merciful in the long-run to the civilians living there.

I am late to this thread so my apologies if this was already discussed/answered. But some time ago, the Trump admin publicly offered Maduro personal immunity/free extradition if he were to abandon the country/turn it over to the U.S.

What are the odds Maduro took the offer, on the condition they make it look like a kidnapping/arrest so he wouldn't be killed by his own disgruntled military?

Just think of the benefits - China gets to expand its sphere of influence in the region; the US taxpayer gets to funnel their money away to corrupt contractors in the region; and somehow all possible proceeds will be siphoned away to this one weird country in the middle-east.
