Indonesians just get up one day and start killing. The last time it happened on a large scale was 1965

some islands, including Bali, lost a fifth of their population. People just got up and slaughtered one out of every five of their neighbors. The wiki is interested in placing blame on rightwing elements "fanning the flames" but they're just like this.
Mistake, this was genocide. To compare this happening as equal, the last time a riot of this calibre was the May 1998 riots against race and government.

So far, there were only 7 confirmed riot deaths (27-31 August). Namely:

Death by riot police (armoured car). He was not even part of the protest, he was done delivering food to a customer. OP has provided the video of him getting ran over (allegedly, because there is one more person Uman who got ran over but he survived, still in coma).

Here is the kicker: The parliament (the very people the people were protesting) claimed that they will not only made sure his family is well, but also... replace his motorbike? People are mad (rightfully).

There was no apology issued by the officials regarding the matter. They were just offering money and support but no apologies. The 7 people who ran him over only got 20 days of sanction (A).

Translation: Puan Maharani (leader of the parliament) will replace Affan's Motorcycle

This was the original title before they changed it. Here's the other article that also talks about the thing, unchanged:

3 People passed away due to Makssar's Regional Parliament Building getting burnt down by the masses. Their names are:

1. Sarina Wati (25)
2. Muhammad Akbar Basri (26) - Fotographer for humanities report
3. Saiful Akbar (43) - Government civil worker

The building was burnt when the skeleton crew of the regional department were having a quarterly financial meeting. The leader narrowly escaped, but the 3 remaining government workers were not.

The 4th person that died in Makassar was Rusdamdiansyah (25), another driver. He was mistakenly thought to be Intel (glowies) and was beaten up by the masses.

One of the protestors that charged head on to the police, only to be beaten up and carried away. He was a university student in Jogja.

He died in the hospital with a broken neck, multiple boot stamps, tear gas marks, and cuts all over his body (A).

Last one is Sumari (60), a becak (horse carriage) worker that has a history of Asthma and died due to excess tear gas inhalation. (A)

In other news, another protest is held in Jakarta:

I’ve heard that the labor party is apart of it on leftypol, and considering the majority of “labor parties” in the world most of them aren’t socialist or even proletarian parties so it’s very possible

Well yeah no shit the killings were targeted towards leftists read the page, it was mass killing done by anti-communists against leftists and minorities, obviously right-wing elements and fascists were behind that lmao.

Look at Latin America, the US funds anti-communists (almost always fascists like in 1920’s Germany and the Russian civil war) to destroy third world countries when they start developing class consciousness. They’ve been doing this shit before even the Cold War started

like I said, the page wants you to believe that

you really think one fifth of the population of bali were commies in 1965? most of them didn't even know the word

what happened in Latin America isn't the same thing at all, that was political violence and certainly there were plenty of atrocities but that's the military/militarized law enforcement acting against un/underarmed peasants and student protestors.

what happens in Indonesia and Malaysia in particular although all of SE Asia is liable to it (the less ancient Chinese influence the higher the likelihood), is people just literally wake up one day grab a big knife and start stabbing.

afaik nobody links up the different varieties that happen in the archipelagos and on the indochina peninsula but it's obviously the same phenomenon. white people put a political or "genocidal" coloration on it because that's how we understand the world.

in passing it always disappoints me when I think I'm among people who think in a not-retarded way about race, and I am forced to realize people here aren't really that racist, they just don't like black people.

anyway @Can of Ship I know this isn't comparable to 1965 but are you really believing that anyone has any idea what the death toll actually is? In fucking Indonesia? to this day nobody knows how many people actually died in the 2002 Bali nightclub bombings because people aren't tracked there and it's impossible to know how many people went back to their villages to die. There's a reason the creepy Gates biometric/digital ID shit is pushed so hard in Indonesia (and Malaysia), life there is not under the kind of modern surveillance we think is normal.

Never said that I believe that was the actual death toll, I said it was confirmed, aka, whatever the government counted. In reality, there were at least 20+ people dead already and counting. There are more names being spread in Indonesian twitter/tiktok plus more unidentified bodies and faces in miscellaneous videos and pictures. None of the Indonesian masses lap up the official numbers.

Solid proof that Roman tactics and weapons, or in this case shields, still hold up.
It's pretty kino.

Here is the aftermath of riots outside Brimob Headquarters (mobile brigade corps) riot in Jakarta

This one bridge depicted in the picture down here is part of a connecting bridge to the Senen train terminal. It was thought to be burnt down by the masses, however, most of them denied doing that action and claimed that multiple men in black and ladder came in to specifically destroy the public facility (it is definitely a PsyOp).

Someone managed to grab a riot shield during the 29th August protest lol

In other more serious news, Bandung is being attacked by officers last night (~7 hours ago as I post), specifically Universities under the assumption of Anti peace officers. 3 Universities under attack (Unisba (Bandun Muslim University), UnPas (Pasundan university), ITB (Bandung Technology Institute)). Tear gasses were shot into the building, ITB has its CCTV cut off, and Intel is confirmed to take over its front gate. Ambulances were denied entry for Unisba.

Translation: Under the assumption of anti-peace, Unisba and Unpas campus is attacked!

Otherwise for other areas of Indonesia:
In Jakarta, protestors returned to the parliament building. However, it is notably more peaceful than couple days ago

In other places, it seems that riot continues, though mostly at night

Quick post: Geneva said hi (A)

Delivered by

UN Human Rights Office spokesperson Ravina Shamdasani

Location
GENEVA

We are following closely the spate of violence in Indonesia in the context of nationwide protests over parliamentary allowances, austerity measures, and alleged use of unnecessary or disproportionate force by security forces. We stress the importance of dialogue to address the public’s concerns.
The authorities must uphold the rights to peaceful assembly and freedom of expression while maintaining order, in line with international norms and standards, in relation to the policing of public assemblies. All security forces, including the military when deployed in a law enforcement capacity, must comply with the basic principles on the use of force and firearms by law enforcement officials.

We call for prompt, thorough, and transparent investigations into all alleged violations of international human rights law, including with respect to use of force.

It is also important that the media is permitted to report on events freely and independently.

Now, the average turd-er wagie in their capital earns around 60ish million IDR or about 4 grand a year. Their politicians wants around that much PER MONTH allocated to them besides the other benefits. Imagine if Nancy or Mike Johnson introduces a legislation that ups their monthly earnings to 10X what the average Joe earns YEARLY in California or Louisiana respectively. Nancy's yearly salary becomes 10 mil while Johnson's becomes 6. With this number, Nancy's net worth in the low-mid hundred mils would somewhat make sense with her ~30 years of "service" but her current net worth's only possible through her shady dealings and stock ventures. However, those turd-er politicians would earn the around corrupted Nancy's multiplier numbers by their official salary ALONE. So with this and on top of their wealth already earned through their current corrupted dealings, it makes sense as to why everyone there would chimp out.
Now imagine these politicians also dance to the legalization of them being able to fuck over their slaves even further, I'm surprised nobody posted this here since it is probably what hit people's sore spot the most and definitely the funniest and most retarded thing happened in this situation.

I hate to sound like a tankiefag, but is there any sort of 'Color Revolution' glowniggery happening behind the scenes?
Commies are arguably an even bigger pariah in Indonesia compared to the nazis in the west (probably outside of Germany), there's tons of people getting arrested just for having/wearing a shirt with sickle and hammer. If you delve deep enough into subhuman hardline muslims facebook groups, you'll easily find some of the funniest takes out there like commies literally have satan's blood flowing in their vein thus its halal to kill a commie along with all of their tainted offspring.

Footage that is allegedly from a college campus in Bandung, Indonesia. Tear gas and firecrackers have seemingly been deployed.
Thank you for archiving it here. I got further context of the university getting attacked: It was a designated "safe zone" for the protestors. Medical team and help were concentrated in the area. From further tracing, apparently a provocateur/psyop threw a molotov to the officers. They were chased and lead the team to the safe zone.

The police admitted that the tear gas was just blown to the place (A), however, some nerd (a professor cough) in the Indonesian twitter did a quick fact check and call bullshit:

For the resting protestors, it felt like it came out of nowhere. At the same time, it felt deliberate because surprise surprise, it is the medical ward. That night, couple people were also kidnapped, one of them was a journalist, one other a medical team.

Translation for the chronology, bear my lukewarm attempt:
"Was kidnapped and brought forcefully by 6 people at his dorm. The state of his dorm was messy and his motorcycle was also missing.

(Witness from his girl neighbour) From 18:00 he cannot be contacted, last time he was contacted and rejected (misscalled) was 17:00, 2 September 2025.

There are no news until now, I hope dear friends can guard each other and look for our friend together.

As I was writing this, I could not find the journalist's missing posts. It was probably deleted, scrubbed off twitter, or he was found.

Names of missing people (confirmed/famous ones). I am archiving everything here just because there's a shitton of posts I swore I read but the posts were deleted or scrubbed:

The Indonesians has made 17 + 8 demands to the government, as well as made a deadline for these to be fulfilled. Since the 17 demands has a deadline of 5th September (and I have a hunch it would NOT be fulfilled by then), something interesting might happen.

My final note for this post is that Indonesians are chronically online people, and they love to yap. What happens if a group of people spergs a lot, document everything on the net, and spread everything they saw?

An entire nation of kiwifarmers at heart. Someone made a non-exhaustive list in an excel sheet of every happenings, news article, and many more. Bonus point, this entire thing is amusing because on 1st September, the Indonesian army was deployed in front of the main parliament building to expect a mass of people.

Knowing this, that day, the protestors was told to rest and stay at home. No protests were happening that day in Jakarta.

A team of rioters that is resistant of PsyOp attempts is interesting.

No. In the free money era, capital was abundant. A lot of up-and-coming developing countries borrowed heavily. Now that the free money era is over, these countries are having to readjust to not having cheap financing as well as having to service the debts they ran up. The problem is that this readjustment is mostly hitting the lower echelons of society whereas the political and semi-aristocratic class continue to do pretty well.
