I still can't believe I'm voting for a republican for president... I've been independent my entire adult life but my state produces a very large amount of crazy people that gravitate towards the right wing, so I usually vote for either a third party or democrats

But 2008/2012/2016 (of course) opened my fucking eyes and revealed that I didn't know what crazy truly looked like, and now I owe three state representatives from my (very, very) rural district apologies for vigorously arguing with them over the past 25 years or so

Honestly I think in many ways the narrative and worldview we lived with in the pre 2020 era is dead and gone. For a long time the left dominated the culture of Were the fun loving people and right wingers have sticks up their asses.

I think he should win. Economy is in the shitter. Female president. I think 2016 got a lot of young white men that were never political or voted to vote and become involved in politics. I think this will be the same for younger men that are minorities. There are tons of 'urban' women-hate(w/e you wanna call them) channels on youtube and I think alot of young men are frustrated at not being able to make money and I think its hit minorities even harder.

Now if I think he actually will is another story. Democrats do not play fair. They are willing to flood the country with cheap slave labor so that CEOs can make more money and destroy the lives of the people in their own country. They are sending them to every single swing state and my tax dollars are paying for it. To say that these people who will literally castrate and mutilate their own children and riot and burn/down their own cities wouldn't cheat in an election is insane. I don't know how widespread it is, but to say it is 0.0000% is crazy. I think we are very close to having no fair elections in this country for the foreseeable future after this. I'm curious how bad the demographic numbers are but if there wasn't a significant shift for minorities towards republicans voting I think we're fucked for a while. A lot of it depends on minorities breaking rank and leaving the democrats. A really easy pitch would be 'democrats got you here but we'll make you rich and give you the life you came for'. All it would take is a little more media influence and a lot of what the democrats have built will come tumbling down. Elon buying X was a good start but we will need more.
