2024 Syrian opposition offensives - The first Syrian rebel offensive against Government forces since March 2020

The oil is pretty much gone. Syria was facing dire economic problems due to looming resource depletion before the war.
Point of order: Its not, there's still a ton of oil and NG. There just hasn't been any further exploration/exploitation and several fields have gone offline because maintaining equipment or getting out the oil was too dangerous.

Syria was having issues before the revolution kicked off because they were confined to the secondary "Dictators and Other Undesirables" market due to relations with Iran/Hezbollah and general MUH JOOSE seething. This made expansion a generally bad financial decision. If Bashir had stopped trying to curry with terrorists and he'd have gotten access back to primary oil markets, that would have reversed.

TBH I expect Israel will be happy to ignore the new order in Syria as long as they don't let Hezbollah and other related pond scum in and as long as they stay on their side of the border.
Doubtful. Most of Syria is part of the Greater Israel claim. But they'll settle for just the Golan Heights for the moment. They're playing the long game.

So on a scale of 1-10 how violent will Syria get now that Assad is gone and nothing is keeping the rebel groups together anymore?

10. Balkanisation is practically guaranteed with the Sunnis, Kurds and a broad collection of Shia, Christians, Alawis and Ba'athists forming three de-facto separate states. With people like the Druze and Syriacs just being completely fucked. Bonus if Israel and Turkey decide to grab land.

The Civil War itself was largely a blueprint for this.

I wouldn't be surprised if remnants from Hamas and Hezbollah decided to try their luck in the ball pit as well.

I will be shocked if this doesn't happen.

So based on the military bases situation is this now Turkey/Russia backed HTS vs US/Israel backed SDF? If I still get to have a chance to see the jews get owned i don't care about anything else.

So the ex-isis, ex-alqaeda guy who's in charge talks about tolerance and diversity but makes no mention of elections. Meanwhile israel just walked in a took a bunch of the country, probably getting ready to ethnically cleanse those towns.
My only disagreement is that there are a lot of ancient Christian groups in each of these countries that just want to be left alone and are suffering for the endless sperging by the Muslims and Jews in the region.
Those communities have already been decimated by isis a decade ago, specially the Assyrians in Iraq.

As for the future:
Nasr, who visited Idlib in 2023, said he had witnessed a limited freedom of religion, with Christian masses tolerated but no displays of crosses or ringing of church-bells allowed

Yeah nope...
Those kikeish NGOs that boat in diversity nigger bombs probably purposely avoid helping Christians.
Why bother if european governments routinely deny asylum to any Christians or white people?
"The regime of Bashar al-Assad has fallen and the 14-year era of instability in Syria is over. Syrians can now return to their country"
There's a video of an irish asking the celebrating syrians in the island if they plan to go back now only to be told "no because of economic reasons".

Told you all they're never going back.
Holy shit I didn't realize they stacked cope this high.
The only cope is thinking ukraine wont be left out to dry. Zelensky and Macron are right now begging Trump not to cut all aid on day one. Even their language changed from "we will never surrender" to "we want peace". But yeah I'm sure the russkies are gonna get it this time, for sure, just wait...

Considering NAFO troons are literally yass queening ISIS and other islamic extremists, yeah it is a W for them unfortunately.
Nobody is doing this. I have no idea why so many retards keep saying this. The entire reason the US is announcing an intervention is because nobody wants a new terrorist state.
With people like the Druze and Syriacs just being completely fucked
No. As I stated in my earlier post, the three main groups currently controlling ground are HTS, the "Syrian Democratic Forces" which is what previously referred to as "the Kurds" which is now a mix of Arab Democrats, Kurds, Assyrians, and Yazidis, and the Southern Operations Room, which is mostly Druze tribesmen and their allies. The Druze are already armed and organized and control a significant part of the south.

There is a good chance "Syria" ceases to exist, and multiple nations spring up in the aftermath.

At what cost?

Winners don't talk about ceding their land to the adversary.
So you shouldn't actively fight for your nations independence? I get the whole "FUCK TRANNIES! FUCK GLOBOHOMO! FUCK THE WEST!" take, put your daddy Russia will just do the same thing the U.S is doing now, your life won't just magically go better or will make people become based and red pilled with Russia in charge.

Yeah I've got zero faith that anything will change.

That's a low-IQ take. There is PLENTY of opportunity for things to get much, much worse.

This is ISIS reminants being told to sit down. HTS has largely cut ties with ISIS - how things will shake down with the Kurds will be where things get really telling and we'll see if if Allie J a Turkish puppet or simply someone using their support.

(my money is on puppet but we'll see)

"Russia, having just lost biggly on the international stage with yet another massive L as yet another regional puppet falls in days with almost no action from Russia, will reveal this wasn't Russia being shown as fake and gay, it was all 17D chess move by Putin to pwn the hohols."

Yeah, that's certainly not cope.
