It may be more specifically directed than you think. I've never trusted imgur enough to use it for anything other than throwaway images, and the main thing I've used it for is the Dwarf Fortress thread. Seriously, why would I bog down the site with storing tons of huge images with very little content to them of little interest to anyone outside the thread?

But I see all the images in this post.

Do you?

I used imgur for a number of other posts in this thread, and still see them.
Copy the URL of any image.

https://kiwifarms.net/proxy.php?image=http%3A%2F%2Fi.imgur.com%2F0yg66E7.png&hash=e5426ad22f51c9d30c0322be187712c3

I run a proxy which downloads every image we put in img tags and redistributes them directly.

Another alternative is if you have a Deviantart and use Sta.sh
it's basically DA's version of cloud and only you can access it unless you share someone a link to a specific link or folder but even with that link other people can't go around and view the rest of your folder

The images I use for the Let's Spergs (the only reason I even use imgur) seem to still be functional.

So humor me. Click this link:

If you're using kiwifarms dot net, you will get an error. Try clicking this link from kiwifarms dot is, or from our onion domain. It'll work.

So all I have to do is copy and paste it in my browser instead of just directly clicking it? Oh no, what a humiliating defeat! My fickle instantaneous stimulation addicted Millennial brain cannot operate with such a simple work around! However will I get on with life? How will I function? I am utterly defeated at this first inconvenience, for I have never had to do anything with the slightest amount of effort on my part in my entire life! I am but slain!

I see them on .net.

Also, you can literally just refresh the page.

I emailed them about this and they claim it's because we violated their rules for using Imgur as a "content delivery network", which would be if I took if I automatically took images attached to posts on KF, uploaded it to Imgur, and then embedded the image directly on KF instead of using my own bandwidth to host it. The overwhelming majority of Imgur content on this site is actually downloaded by us through the proxy, and then linked from our own resources.

Solution, have the link proxy through the .is and .onion domains.

What alternatives are even out there for photo hosting, anyway? All the ones I know of are absolute dogshit.

Uhm... Photobucket?

I'm a bit wary of TinyPic. They're owned by Photobucket, who forced their users to start paying up if they want to simply link to their images on other sites a couple months ago. TinyPic images also get deleted after 90 days if nobody looks at them.

Whelp, my idea was trash.

Eventually I'm just going to set up some sort of anon.to for all URLs.

And no, photobucket and tinypic are trash. Seriously, just use mixtape.moe

I keep telling you people how to have more fun on the internet by avoiding shit companies and you just don't want to.

Última edición:
lol I remember when imgur got salty with reddit bc users where using imgur as a dump place to reaction images and other shit.
they specially hate the r/Cringeanarchy subreddit
