Immediately after that went up, the auction was then dropped for a second time for posting a facebook link in the description page. He rehosted it with this.
Chris later commented rather obscurely at how he can't try to use eBay to sell his drawings without using the system eBay can take money from, suggesting that he had contacted people down the list to get money from them.
The thing is, he CAN organize transactions outside eBay, it's just that such transactions are not regulated by eBay, so eBay discourages this strongly.
Yeah, circumventing Ebay's payment options is a big no-no as you're essentially avoiding giving them their cut of the sale. Totally understandable, but as usual, Chris takes this as a personal slight and views it as unfair.
Chris bitching about policies that prevent him from doing what he wants isn't surprising, but the photograph is. It's a much better piece of art than the drawing he's trying to sell. It looks like something you'd see on a gallery wall in an exhibition about the fluidity of age appropriateness and gender roles in modern society. Or something about how childhood's naive innocence is quickly crushed under the weight of adulthood.
There's just something about that picture that I find rather haunting and mesmerizing. Chris is clearly a much better photographer than artist.
Head's up: I've added a facebook update I didn't see the first time to OP. Thanks to @littlebiscuits for pointing it out.
Also, sorry for unapproving so many posts in this thread, but I'm trying to keep everything really constructive and relevant because it would be massive if I didn't.
Chris can try to avoid eBay all he wants, but a Paypal payment is still bound it's rules, and the side of a dispute is almost always on the side of the buyer.
And if Chris tries pulling any shit with a check/money, then may GodBear have mercy on him because then that becomes a matter for the US Postal Service (a Federal agency) to look into.

Bottom line. Chris has learned little more than jack shit, thinking he could get away with his bullshit. with this and getting all asshurt. Same idiot, different day, ugly hairdo.
